South Florida Chapter of the RCU
 

This month, S.P.A.M. Robotics started up a chapter of the RCU (Robot Chicks Union) for girls in South Florida. I would like to give an invite to all FIRST teams in the South Florida to join team S.P.A.M. in making our first year of the RCU a sucess. We have many activities planned to get girls intrested in math, science, engineering, and technology, and we would love to have all South Florida FIRST girls involved.

To help start things off, I need a contact person from all teams intrested in joining. Thank you so much, and I hope that this will be a sucessfull first year for the new South Florida Chapter of the Robot Chicks Union. ;) :)

we really have some great ideas and are gonna be starting some programs with the younger girls in our area.

at robot rodeo in this fall we are gonna try to meet all those that are intrested in this chapter of the rcu

I'm soo excited!!! :D I live in Tampa, so I hope that I can join the South Florida chapter of RCU!!

I believe that my team is going to the robot rodeo ... or atleast I hope so!! So of course I'll be there ;) ! Please keep posting any other updates or just email them to me!! :) nadia.zamora@gmail.com

I still plan on mentioning it to some of the girls on my team to get an RCU chapter going here. Let the school year start, let a few meetings go by, let the new team get settled in, lets hope I am once again going to be a captain, and then I plan on passing it on. I'll let them know about the Rodeo meeting, and I hope you all have ideas on getting more girls involved in robotics. I think you all know how to reach me if you need me.

I will be sure to get back to you, Barry, and anyone else who may be intrested in joining. It looks like there may be some teams intrested north of Orlando, so hopefully, everyone can be a part of the South Florida Chapter of the Robot Chicks Union. :D

Hey tiff, britt, great picture *wink*wink* We're all so photogenic.

We want as many teams to join as possible, so if you're a girl on a south florida team, don't be afraid to e-mail tiffany just to see what it's all about. just because you do e-mail her doesn't mean you are obligated to join. and if anybody has any questions you can send me, tiffany34990, or adare180 a PM and we'll be happy to answer you as soon as possible. Also, even if your team is not going to the robot rodeo (or if you're not) doesn't mean you are not allowed to join, we still want as many girls to join as possible so we can make this a big success. yea Brittany just sent me the link to the RCU web page also the one she made here it is http://www.geocities.com/southfloridarcu/home i thought it should be more popular, i am in the process of making IGAB.com/net/org undecided for now, but wen its up we shall be full supporters of the RCU, like i already am :D
