Odd Reincarnation
Horrid thread title, really.
While I'm in the poll mood. I was talking to Bill Bixler (Scooter on CD) and he mentioned the subject of..."If you could be reincarnated as a boy or a girl, what would you choose?" Well...wow. What a hard decision. So he left and told me to start it for him. So on behalf of Scooter, If you could be reincarnated as a girl or guy, what would you choose, and why? (That rhymed!) I'd say I'd wanna be a girl, cause if I got reincarnated as a guy, I wouldn't want to figure out women. Then there's the question of if you had knowledge from your past life (hypothetically). However, guys seem to have so much less to worry about. |
Re: Odd Reincarnation
I agree with Genia. I'm pretty comfortable being a girl, and I don't think I'd want to be reincarnated as a guy. I hope I would be reincarnated as a girl who's very different from who I am, though.

Re: Odd Reincarnation
I'm going to go for girl. I think I have guydom figured out--most of it, anyway. So being a gal would be an interesting experience, to say the least.
On the other hand, it would require knowing where I was gonna be born. There are some spots in the world where I would hate being born a girl. So I guess if you're playing the reincarnation game, you're rolling the dice and taking your chances. |
Re: Odd Reincarnation
I am gonna have to agree with Billfred's reasoning. I'd be interested to see what it is like from the "other side."

Re: Odd Reincarnation
Me too. Variety is the spice of life. But then again, I would probably freak everyone out (more than I already am ;) ). Of course, I could try guy again and have it figured out.
Do you keep your memories in recarnation? |
Re: Odd Reincarnation
I don't think I really want to know what it's like to be a guy. Not to be insulting or anything, that's not my intention by that statement. I'm happy being a girl and I really wouldn't care to know what guys think. *shrug* I like being a girl, as I said. =) Wouldn't change a thang! =D

it would be interesting if you had 4 options:

Re: Odd Reincarnation
so far, it seems that all the guys would like to try being a girl, and the girls want nothing to do with being a guy... ;)
personally, I don't know what I'd do. |
Re: Odd Reincarnation
I personally would rather be a girl. The great majority of guys are just plain rude, and I mean... most of my friends are girls because of that. I think I already asssociate much more with girls emotionally, because it's much harder to have a conversation about your emotions with a guy because so many have to be "manly" and act like they don't have emotion. I think girls can be much more expressive with how they feel, and I like that. There's my reasoning. I do agree with Billfred though, I would not want to be a girl in cultures that still push them down and don't give them freedoms.

Anyway, Billfred ... being a doll (early 50s word for girl) would ABSOLUTELY be interesting for ya! ;) Personally, I've been refered to in many more times than what I'd like to admit as 'one of the guys' most likely because I'm ALWAYS with them and almost all of my friends are guys! I do everything with them, go every where with them ... it is like I am one of them! :ahh: And I love my guys .. they are awsome ... much cooler than hanging out with girls! They are silly and funny and smart (not all of them), but what i guess I want to say is that I couldn't picture having to go through high school without them! :) Although, I already know the interworkings of the male mind. I wouldn't mind being one myself ... that is if I'm like one of the guys that I know! :) |
Re: Odd Reincarnation
i think that with society today, there are so many double standards between males and females, but in the end they pretty much balance each other out ... so even though i complain at least 3 or 4 times a week to at least one of my girlfriends about being a girl, it really isnt that bad ..
on the other hand, i think i would like to try being a guy because it **SEEMS** (key word being seems there) that they have it easier .. less thinking about the superficial things such as clothes, shoes, makeup, (id say hair, but we all know how much time Karthik spends on his hair .. so i think i will leave that one out .. ) .. also, i would like to see what is going through a guys mind ... especially from a relationship standpoint ... plus .. being born male would result in more freedom with my parents ... Re: Odd Reincarnation
Oh heck ya.. I would be a girl in my next life defiantely.. lol
Just for the heck of it. Billfred hit the nail on the head.. Got this guydom thing figured out, want to see how I would make out as the other sex.. Do I still get to keep all the knowledge I have now though? That would put me one step closer to ruling the world... As I just typed that last sentence, I realised that If I did retain my knowledge but was a girl, then hey.. maybe I wouldn't want to rule the world... On to bigger and better things.. RULER OF THE UNIVERSE!! Muwhahahahahaha! Wow.. this I think is my scariest post ever.. Thanks for bringing this idea forward Eugenia.. Morbid, and weird.. But I LIKE IT.... |

Re: Odd Reincarnation
I would prefer to stay female, even with all of the unpleasantries, like cramps, and what not. I thoroughly enjoy being female. But, I have often wished I could be male for a day or two, just to see what it is like. I was always a tomboy, out playing tackle football while the other girls my age were home mooning over Menudo and Duran Duran... But don't be fooled, guys do not have it easier, they just have it different, just ask any guy who's been picked last in gym class...
Of course, my big fear would be that I would come back as a girly-girl... Heidi |
Re: Odd Reincarnation
Flat out.. no second thoughts... I would want to come back as a guy. So much less to worry about, so many less struggles, just so many less problems. Heh, less genetically to worry about as a guy (except male patterened baldness :p). No thought... I'd choose to switch to a guy.....
