Kickoff Meetings

Hey all-quick question for anyone that is involved with the kickoff events.

How does one go about setting up a meeting during the kickoff events. Im not sure if every kickoff does have meetings or not, but i know NJ does, and im interested in making one. Would i need to contact FIRST about it or can i just get a meeting announced right before the events start?

Thanks

Do you mean workshops? or meetings for the teams or the volunteers?

Ya sorry-basically the same thing though. Just a get together of people to learn about something.

Usually workshops/seminars/meetings are held after the game announcement broadcast from Manchester. Official workshops/seminars/meetings can be setup with FIRST. Then they will list them in the Remote Kickoff agenda for everyone attending your Kickoff to consider.
You may need a room, a moderator, A/V equipment (if necessary).

Work with the NJ Regional Director Randy S., he can take your recommendations to FIRST.

Chesapeake offers workshops after the NASA feed. They don't list them on the FIRST official agenda, but as the teams arrive, they can sign up for them. I've done a really informal workshop (parent involvement, all things non-engineering) the past two years, in a nice building at the Univ. of Md and they have been nice enough to set up the power point for me. The Chesapeake committee does a great job.
Contact the regional director for an inquiry.
