Why use "Invisible Mode"?

Although we are all friends on the CD community, I often see that people do not want their names to show up when they are viewing a thread or are online at all. Why? I think it's cool to know who else is looking at the same thread as you (especially if they're a famous CD person or something). If people just like to be sneaky and do this for fun, perhaps this isn't the right forum to do it on...I'm just hoping that either there is a valid reason that people would hide from one another or that, if there is no "real" reason then invisible mode can be eliminated altogether. Thanks for your input!

I don't think people are trying to be sneaky or anything of that sort at all. They just don't want people to know that they are checking out the boards, maybe they are trying to keep a low profile, or are just private people, who knows? The invisible option is there for those who choose to check out CD and choose not to let people know they are doing it.

Let them hide, they proabably have a decent reason for it and if they cause trouble, that Martus character always has a way to take care of them.
