InMemory - In So Many Words

this is a really good band ive been listening to. They have a pretty unique sound. If you are into upbeat screamo/emo/punk check them out.

if you want to hear them check out their purevolume page

and the other Cd im obsessed with is....

Head Automatica - Decedence

This band is the lead singer of Glass Jaw's side project. But, they sound almost nothing like GJ. There are more classic rock/funk/urban influences in this record. It has a real nice sound, and every track on the CD sounds different.

Once again ... Modest Mouse which has now become my second favorite band (overall band -- pretty big deal) ... and their entire album:

Good News for People Who Love Bad News

Even the name of the album is awesome ... good news for people that love bad news ... that name alone gives way to a lot of ideas! All of their songs are awesome but the one that I am most listening to right now (as a matter of fact - the only song that I am listening to right now) is:

The World At Large!! :D

They rock!! :]

You should listen to Criteria (album: En Garde), then. You'd like it.

Both New Nelly Cd's

Nelly - Sweat

Nelly - Suit. (24 songs total)

Not a bad cd. I recommend anyone that has disliked nelly in the past to atleast listen to the track "Die for you" on the Suit (Last one - Number 11 on that cd). Really emotional song and I like it...

Right now I am forced to listen to some CDs that I can be sure of to help in setting up a new mixing room in 5.1 surround. In order to calibrate sound pressure levels to my ears there is only one way to do that...."Crossroads"/Cream featuring Eric Clapton on guitar and vocals, played at reference level. For a nice background and for frequency alignments, etc. BB King/ Eric Clapton "Riding with the King".

"Long Live Rock & Roll!"

Matchbox 20 (hehe, here a funny story about that one....)

I was in my physics 111 class, and everyone at my school has the same laptop, so we were all getting them out near the end of class to use Maple or something. I opened mine up, and hit the power button, i had hibernated. (now, back i time) I shut my laptop lid, and then proceeded to unplug everything from it, you know, mouse, powercord, network cable, external hard drive with all my music on it. My speakers, which were muted. (fast forward back to present) When the computer came back on and then, blasting out of my tiny laptop speakers comes matchbox 20. I had hibernated my computer while it was playing a song, but i didn't know because the speakers were muted. The worst part was that it only played about 10 seconds of the song, because that was all that was in the ram. Let me tell you, there was much laughing at me, including the professor. The only thing i said was..."any requests?"

After going up to the Salem/Gloucester area in MA this weekend, I stopped in at some local record/cd/tape exchange shops.

I picked up a couple new (to me) Cd's.
These include:

Powerman 5000 - Tonight the Stars Revolt!
Gigi D'Agostino - L'Amour Toujours
and to replace a CD I stepped on by accident:
Rob Zombie - Past, Present and Future - Album Advance.

And then there were the free singles on tape at one of the stores:
Bobby Brown - Every Little Step
Ace of Base - Don't Turn Around

These last two were not my first choice, but hey.. they were in the free box and were the only artists that I recognized the names of.

Since I have to listen to "appropriate" music at work, I'm now listening to the Indigo Girls. Ghost is on now:

"And I feel it like a sickness how this love is killing me.
But I'd walk into the fingers of your fire willingly.
And dance the edge of sanity--I've never been this close.
I'm in love with your ghost"
