::raises hand::

I'll be there, doing the usual chit-chating and enjoying the competition. Just look for the guy with the lime-green ponytail.

I'll also put my voice in the "fantastically run and always fun" department. Even if your team isn't going, it's always worth the trip. And FIRST itself is right across the river. You basically can't lose.

Does anybody have an idea if FIRST is having the yardsale again?

This first yard sale is not being held the same way it was in past years. In order to get the excess FIRST parts this year, there was an ordering process. This thread discussed the announcement about the yard sale:

Re: River Rage

thank you Ashley... I would like to thank all the teams there (especially team 190), Andy Grady, and everyone else that made the event possible and all the fans that attended... 88 had a blast this year... With the broken wheelie bar, the arm breaking in 2 matches, our hook falling off in a few, and not to mention our blown tire 2 matches before lunch (which we didn't end up fixing) we still manage to win it... Just like the Patriots we have won 2 out of 3 years... Not bad eh?

I would also like to thank all the other human players that partcipated in the HP competition... There were a lot of great shooters... I would like to give a special thanks to Mark from team 166 who gave up the award for me... Thanks sooo much!!!
hehehe and I also tied for the highest score possible which was 10 out of 11...

CAN'T WAIT TILL THE NEW SEASON STARTS!!!

Re: River Rage

Who else found the "never-ending" quarterfinals matches between 190 and 88 vs. 716 and 238 rather entertaining??

We played a total of 4 (5 sortof) matches for one round!! The first match we tied, the second (sortof) match was stopped because the ball drop never activated, the next match (the previous one redone) was tied, and then finally the next two matches were won by 190 and 88. It was very exciting, but took forever.
I thought it would never end!!
Had a lot of fun though...it was very close and exciting till the last second.

congrats to team 190 and 88 for their victory today!!

esp. that last second hang in the 2 (3rd) match

I had a lot of fun and congrats to everyone there
