- you beat David Kelly at the Highway FIRST Game (pick out road signs, billboards, and license plates with FIRST numbers... and I kicked his butt).
- you go on what's supposed to be a relaxing roadtrip, and instead end up filing robot parts.
- you have random robot parts, shifters, and allen wrenches lying around your living quarters, even if you rarely help build the actual robot.
- you have no time to sleep, you consider yourself wayyyyy past the burnt out stage, you struggle through everything, you barely make time for 'real life' and do your grocery shopping at 3-4 am, and yet you still come back to CD and FIRST everytime.

Sounds like someone needs to salvage a chin up bar from the game this year and mount it in their closet for a stronger bar. :rolleyes:

Wow! :ahh: Someone hit the nail right on the head. (Supermarkets are not busy that time of night though, so it's cool - No waiting in lines at the checkouts.)

You see the year in four sections... "pre-build", "build", "competition", and "off season" instead of the 12 months.

[PS-You know FIRST is cool when someone in Coalwood, WV notices a crew shirt under your raincoat and you get into a conversation about robotics and FLL which ends with them telling you to apply to work with/for them in AL (U.S. Space Camp Baby!!!)... and yup I'm doing the paperwork now.]

You talk too much about your team, the game, FIRST, all things robot related to co-workers who really only asked how things are going just to be polite. But you don't care that they are just being polite because they just gave you the opportunity to talk about something you love. So you go on and on and on and on and on and on even though you see their eyes glazing over and you know it's not right to make someone's eyes glaze over (not to mention it's a pretty creepy site) but there is a small part of you that is convinced that there is no way they could not love it too so you continue to go on and on and on and on and on...

....when all you can think about is technolg, technology, and technology. and also draw your teams logo when you get bored in class, i.e drawing wildstang logo in poetry class!

At one of my crosscountry invites they used little microchip thingys on ur ankles so they calculate your time when you finish, and me, val and roxanna(2 girls on crosscountry that are in WildStang), got all excited because technolgy was used in a sport. yes, we jumped up and down and though it was cool when everyone else didnt think so. people thought we were wierd, but we didnt think so!
