Hey guys and gals, our friends at Valve have uploaded the final, gold, version of Half Life 2 up to Stream. You can download the encrypted file now, then purchase it latter and have it unlocked.

I looked around on Steam under browse games as well as other places and saw no place to download the encrypted Half-Life 2 files. It says on the Steam site they released it like you said, but I can't find how to download it. How do you download it?

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it under the "Play Games" option.

If they were on time for the original release date... they'd be destroying their reputation of always being delayed. We wouldn't want that, now would we? :p

Oh, of course not. God forbid that Valve would actually release anything on time...

And by the way, it's Steam, not Stream. Just thought I'd point that out.

I dont know about the rest of you, but im looking forward to seeing what they do with Day of Defeat with the Half life 2 engine....
