Knowing that the time had come for FIRST to choose Nationals Qualifiers, the team chose to sacrifice a freshman in hopes of gaining some ground in the running. Who needs 'em anyway...?

Student protests over the "robots can't score balls" rule during the 2004 season were largely ineffective, as the freshmen's peaceful demonstration tactics proved to have little impact on the actual playing of the game.
