Re: pic: 2005 ship
you probably have seen it before, that is an actual lego model that he followed the instructions for

Re: pic: 2005 ship
is that done in an actual 3d modeling program (3dsm, maya...) or was it made in the lego program that automatically places parts and renders it?
|
Re: pic: 2005 ship
this was done in 3d studio max
|
Re: pic: 2005 ship
I need to buy 3D studio max because that program is realy good for 3D modeling. I have Maya 6.0 but it isnt as good for many things that 3d Max is realy good at.

Re: pic: 2005 ship
He started out with a lego castle, to practice modeling the blocks. That took him about 2 weeks to complete. This ship, which still is not completed has taken about a week and a half. It took 1.25 hours to render!
go check out his castle and other pictures of the ship at www.ghost403.741.com |
Re: pic: 2005 ship
I used to have that model too. That's a kick arse rendering. GW!

Re: pic: 2005 ship
Been playing w/ 3d max for 3 years now and im still a n00b. heres a question, how'd u choose ur colors? did u actually just drag the circular thing in one of those windows where u select the paint and its all mixed up including the RGB values? and like applied a diffuse? and then placed some lighting?
