Hey, guys I ve been reading alot of the messages that have been on the forum, yet I have no idea who is writing them. I think it would be cool if team members from other teams could get to know eachother before the competitions. That way we have an idea of hows going to be there. What do you guys think.:rolleyes:

Anyone who's at MMR, stop by 93's pit and say hi!!! I'll be the short blonde one so I shouldn't be too hard to find! And while you're there, make sure to ask me about the soccer ball - you know you want to sign it, right? :D Hopefully I'll see y'all there!

I'm Stephanie (duh ;)). I am a rookie on team 668 The Apes of Wrath. I'm pretty much an all around worker, but my specialties tend to lie in base and strategy. I spend way too much time at school, of course. Other hobbies of mine include gardening, and wasting time online :-D if you care to talk, PM me or AIM at Steppie86 I'll be at the Sillicon Valley Regional and Nationals, and will be visiting the LA regional, I'm not sure if I'll do anything unique as far as appearances go...

Yaa, Im glad some one decided to reply. I will be attending the LA regionals and the National regionals. Ive been on team 60 Bionic Bulldogs for Two years. I am the treasurer for our club. I also am driver and human player; and I also do some of the photography work. I have curly borwn hair a really tall and Im usaully the loud mouth of team 60. I like to be in one everthing that has to do with the robot, fill free to talk to me anytime. :D

You can talk to alot of the posters in tigerbolt. It is an IRC channel on irc.webchat.org at #FIRSTrobotics. There is usally someone there at any hour. I know, cause I tend to be there at all hours.;)

Umm..I'm a Junior and..I dunno..the only regional my team goes to is KSC which is over so I guess I'll have to see whoever wants to see me at nats. Dont' go to the pit looking for me, b/c they usually have no idea where I am. I'm the short dark-haired girl who looks like a 12 year-old. A group of us alumni from team 535 are taking a trip up to the West Michigan regional. Look for us around the pits or in the stands, we should be easy to spot, we'll be the cool college guys :D

Well, I'm Isabel and I'm from team SPAM (180), as you can probably tell. Like Angela said up there, we only go to KSC so you'll have to go through the agony of waiting until Nats to meet me if you haven't already. :D

Hi, my name is Jeff Wetzel, an I am a FIRST-a-holic.

Really.
I relate everything to robotics.
All my friends are on my team, or on another team.
I am tring to figure out how to get to other regionals.
(Silly parnets who think sleeping in my car or a tent isn't safe...)
But I might get to go to LA becuase my grandparents live 20 minutes from the venue! :-D
I refer to things, and people are confused because they forget that I just refer to FIRST.
I spend 8+ hours a day in Tigerbolt chat activly chatting.
I read all the threads on Delphi.
I think I have visited most every teams webpage.
I have begun to look at things like "..oh, that would be an awsome field element for next year..."
And then go on to try and figure out a way to overcome it within the limits of the KOP and the BOM.
I was helping my sister with her mousetrap car, and she asked if she could use ductape, and I reflexively said no.
I tend to organize my life around it.
I get really upset and depressed when I miss a meeting. (Which happens far to often)
I wear my goggles places. When I go on a Home Depot run or to get food.
Also, FIRST has turned my life in a compleatly diffrent direction.

hey, wetzel, you remind me of myself! we're scheduling classes for next year, and i found myself saying "well, if i take physics and CAD next year, then i can apply that to robotics..." :-D i'm just about obsessed with robotics...;)

Hahaha... that's how I got to VCU this year... I know the rest stops along I-81 quite well at this point...

Now Wetzel, that's just wrong.... Duct tape is definately something I use in large quantities outside of FIRST! You have to make up for not having it during the season.

I used to get irritated at snow days that would cancel meetings (though not all of them did.... I remember my first Feb.. and the killer storm that left ice and snow... I still went to the shop!)

Best time to wear them is in the snow or rain... stops stuff from getting in your eyes. I keep a pair in the truck for days when my tinted safety glasses are too dark for driving, but I still want to keep the windows down but the wind out of my eyes ;)

Ehh.. so yeah, if you don't know me by now, it's probably safer that way. :D Been adopted by lots of awesome teams - started off as a driver for team 69 my freshman year. Now... well, lets just say I hope things work out and ya'll be seeing a team in the 1000's from Knoxville, TN next season ;)
