Team 21 - ComBBAT Marches On!

Here is Team 21's animation entry for 2002.
It requires the DivX codec, which you can easily get from www.divx.com
I hope to see some more teams' entries posted here!

Ha ha ha. I love old 1950's newsreel films. They are so commical and you guys pulled it off well. Too bad you have to submit in Cinepak, I am not sure how it will look with the black and white gradients.

Um, nice animation and idea, but did you know you went over the time limit by 1 or 1.5 seconds. Also, check out a preview of ours robot.mbhs.edu/Team 449 Teaser.avi

I would love to see your robot at the competition. I am curious to see how the fall affects your robot.

I appreciate the concern, mad3d, but I beg to differ. The animation may end about 31 seconds into the .avi, but it doesn't start right at the beginning. Look at a clock, and count from the beginning of the sound to the end of the sound.

BROVo... Your animation was great... it was quite a show for 30 seconds, mad3d i timed it myself and it was only 30 seconds... anywho looks nice, good luck...

Nevermind... I was probably too tired at the time. Sorry. I like the animation, looks good!

I liked your idea. Did you use lighting to achieve that newsreel crackle effect? One thing though, how does it describe what FIRST means to your team?

ComBBAT_Albrot 24-03-2002 16:53

The crackle effect was achieved by using Adobe After Effects (shhh), and the appealing aspect we went with was simply Competition. (We're glad all 4 robots aren't on the same alliance anymore.)
