Geez, all the good entries were taken by Monday. Especially when the first thing that came to my mind was the "Dean Kamen action figure", and Elgin already nabbed that one. Never fear though, I have an entry:

If anyone is interested in the story behind that photo, it was taken in March, 2003 when Dean was presented with a Common Wealth award in the field of technology at the Hotel DuPont in Delaware. (Other awardees that year were Sam Donaldson, Bob Dole, and Joyce Carol Oates. In such company, Dean had to wear a tux!). MOE and the Lunatecs 316 both exhibited their robots, although you can't see 316 in this pic.
Coincidentially, the local paper reran this picture last week for an article about the first Segway store opening up in Delaware. |
