We do a demonstration each year for NBC's Tech Expo and of course we can't have a whole FIRST field at the Expo. So, what we do is make up a small game containing parts of fields we have built and let people drive our robots in a mini game that we came up with. Last year we had them push the bins from 2003 into a square and if they could balance the ramp with the robot at the end they got a certain amount of points, clever eh?... The red is wood. We had it as a border and they couldn't cross that (safety reasons of course). It's pretty cool to watch and if you are anywhere near Fort Washington PA come on by this weekend! We will be at the Expo once again :D Hopefully that explains it a little bit for you!

The only thing I am wondering about is that crazy looking "Philly" basketball player in near the red pipe....he gives me the willies :ahh: ! Or is it just a fake manikin thingy? Any who, good job representing FIRST!

That is the Sixers mascot "Hip-Hop". He is pretty scary in person.

Between this guy and the NBC Peacock, we have team members that are suffering from permanent Mascot Phobia.

Yet another of the hazards of robotics.
