You've found out South Carolina's secret--we get the cheap gas. (Well, as cheap as $1.979 ever gets.)

The cheapest gas tends to be at the Sunoco on Broad River Road (from the Colonial Center, take Assembly Street away from Swearingen, going all the way to the end, which is Elmwood Ave. Turn left onto Elmwood, and get onto I-126. From there, take the second exit, Colonial Life Blvd. TO Broad River Road. Go all the way down Colonial Life Blvd., turn left at the light right at the mall there, then go straight. Can't miss it.)

(South Carolina: Famous for cheap gas, Steve Spurrier, sweet tea, and FIRST.)

OK...for all you guys that have made it to Columbia....after those long or short drives....Welcome...and for all those that are still awake and looking at this crazy thread. Remember...we will see you tomorrow a.m. around 7:45...get three of you checked in and headed to uncrate...also, we will be informing those teams that owe some shipping cost of that and steering you in the direction to get that taken care of...the quicker the better, and we can get the crates moved out of the way...then we will be staging in the rear of the Colonial Center for off loading and entry at 8:30...simply, get in line...off load...then drive around the facility and park in Lot A or B..should be some signs out...Don Griffith and I will be working all day in the pit area to make sure you get what you need....so, don't hesitate to ask.

So Billfred, old buddy, old pal - have you got enough bandwidth to video-conference the Palmetto regional one-on-one with a poor old mentor in Florida who couldn't make it up with his team? Sort of a solo webcast - could be worth a S.P.A.M. t-shirt to you (or is a box of Krispy Kremes more the going rate?), and I promise I won't tell anyone about this. ;)

So, as soon as I mention a Krispy Kreme incentive, Palmetto gets added to NASA's regional webcast page. Coincidence? Or does Dave have that much influence?

Re: 2005 Palmetto Regional

I've been watching the webcast, and the competition here looks fierce, there should be some great elimination rounds.

One thing that really shocked me...team 157 was not picked! This is a really solid machine with a great team to back it up. Someone blew it in scouting!

O well, maybe there was some circumstance as to why they were not picked. Anyway, best of luck to the competitors at all regionals. I look forward to seeing you all in Atlanta.

I'm so excited for my team. I'm watching the webcast. The suspence is just killing me. The webcast is so laggy. (And yes I'm on highspeed). Those first matches were so close. Go Alliance 5 *fingers crossed* ;)

add:
Wow our Semi-Final match is gonna be against our Florida alliances from Florida. :( Good luck teams! XO

Oh this match is gonna be tough. :X

Ed:
Yeah.. Ouch. x_=;;

Addition:

Wow this is kinda funny. Sister teams paired against each other all over the place. First it was Us and 342 against 343. We're both "sister" teams with 343. Now it's 179 vs. 180. Should be interesting!

More:
Congrats Tech Tigers. :)

Good looking Finals match. It'll be 1251 vs. 179 again! The same thing happened in Florida. But the alliances are much different this time around. Who know's what'll happen. I expect some good matches.

Great Finals the suspense is killing me.

Wow. Good job alliance 2. What a great Finals.
