OK, all you native Marylanders (is that what they call you? Connecticut people are called Nutmeggers) - we're open for suggestions for places to stay; restaurants to eat at; and things to do. We'll probably arrive on Wednesday so we'll have a few nights to explore the area.

The Chesapeake regional was amazingly fun last year. :D Only this year, * :( * the NJ and Chesapeake regionals are on the same weekend. Ahh.

Team 007 will most definitely be attending the Chesapeake Regional. It's been amazing the past two years, and we personally cannot wait until the regional. It should be fun this year! And yes, Miss Kathie, we are called Marylanders. =)
As far as things to do, if you get here a couple days early, you can always go to the Inner Harbor. It's so much fun there, and there's great places to eat. Or, you can just come visit our team! We'd show you a good time here in Maryland. =D
Places to eat that are close to the regional, there's nice places just around the corner from the Naval Academy. There's a nice Italian buffet, and I think a good Chinese place too.
Don't worry, Maryland's not that boring! :ahh:

We will hold you to that promise! Anyone attending Chesapeake that is also going to Ramp Riot, be sure to stop by and introduce yourselves!

Oh yes... I reffed the Chesapeake Regional last year. It was a lot of fun! One of the highlights of the weekend was going to a local seafood place and eating blue crab on some crate paper. There's nothing more satisfying than taking a wooden mallet and smashing open some exoskeleton.

You do that! Heck if my team won't do it, I will! =) I just need to make sure I get my provisionals by then.
As for Ramp Riot, unfortunately our team is not attending, but we do hope to see you guys at Play Date in DC in February this year, if you attend.
=)

HEY!!! I'm SUPER excited to be going to Maryland!!
Once again, as Mrs. K said, if anyone has any good ideas about places to stay or eat or anything!!! I believe we're coming in Wednesday night (possibly flying, possibly bus, not sure yet!!! If we bus, thursday morning) Cheap buses? Is there public transportation we could take from a hotel to the Naval Acadamy? I'm on the travel committee for our team, so you can pm or e-mail me anything that you think would help!
THanks!!!
and again SUPER excited, esp since it'll hopefully be warmer than CT in March:D

We went to the first regional year there and travel was, well, um, really really bad in a really bad way. You had to park miles away then take a bus in! :p

But we found there is a great little farmer's market near the academy and a Subway up the street.

I took Southwest to from Bradley to Baltimore when I went to the Annapolis Regional last year... the fares were pretty good.

Price of taking a bus & staying at a hotel for three days = price of flying down and sleeping on friend's couch.
