Check out Team THRUST's website

To all FIRST'ers

Please check our, rookie, website and leave comments as to how you like it. Constructive criticism gracefully accepted.
Larry Johnston has put allot of time and effort in to it. And IMHO looks great ;) But I'm a little biased :)

I'm sorry if I'm over looking it, but I don't see a link or an address anywhere.

I asked TIMS: teamthrust.us

I like where it's going in terms of content but the software you used kind of ruins the look -- where there's so much potential -- in my opinion. It's not as readable as I think it could be, and I must admit the news front page looks kinda bad. Consider brighter colours and something other than the standard phpnuke layout.

Re: Check out Team THRUST's website

The one thing I noticed: You have a picture scrolling on the right side of the page with a link to the picture gallery underneath it. On any given page, you only see one picture scroll. You can go to a different page and see a different picture scrolling in that spot, but you only see that one picture scroll. My suggestion is that if you are going to scroll the picture, use multiple pictures. You could certainly just put a single random picture above the link, but then it would make more sense to not have it scroll. But overall, it is a nice layout and a well-down site. It is much better than my team's site.

I like it, but the front page is a little long.

I agree. Maybe a bit less on the front page. Have a special team section for all announcements, that would probably cut down on the length.

PS It's great to see more Indiana FIRST teams!!!!

If you are going to use a CMS, there are many better choices than PHP-Nuke which is badly coded and badly managed. PostNuke, Mambo, Geeklog, or e107 are much more secure, bug-less, and truly open source options.

This should be in the website forum. The site is okay, but I would recommend removing some clutter from the front page as others have said.
