Not exactly. We called one of our freshmen "knave" if he hauled around our OI for us, or got us batteries during competition. Or "roadie".

In fact, that's what I'm doing right now. And upon reading that last post, I realized that I didn't know what was on TV. Huh. I guess I have to improve my multi-tasking skills.

Have you ever tried to prove the strength of what you thought was a piece of lexan with a hammer, but instead gone on to prove the relative weakness of what was actually a piece of acrylic (and getting shattered plastic in your face)?

No because of the time I know if it's acrylic or not by smashing a corner and then if it's polycarbonate, I'll hit it hard with a hammer.......a fellow mentor prefers scratching and sniffing the plastic.
