As far as the person who listed rock as their favorite genre and blues as their least favorite, rock is descended directly from blues and I guarantee most of your favorite bands would list blues artists as their major influences.

I have to disagree there....Lyrics aren't everything to music...for example

Kurt Cobain spent 98% of the time working on the music and 2% of the time on the lyrics...and i know you can tell for sure....
