Exam Horror!!!

Just wondering what are some of the horror stories from exam time are out there in the first world... I'm living one as we speak, I have an 8 am calculus exam, and I am sick, very very sick, as in sicker than those that didn't survive VCU sick, without all the icky revisiting food, and the so on and so fourth... Right now it's 4:07... Anyway, just to cheer me and all others up at this so wonderful exam time of the year, let's hear all those horrific exam stories. Surely there must be some nail biters out there that will bring a chuckel to our day. So let's hear em'!

A very sick Ivey

and possibably delusional Ivey...

Exam horror stories, huh? Well, It's not that horrific, but I once prepared for an extensive test on chapter 22 of our International Studies book by reading, studying, and taking extensive notes from chapter 23.

My finals here start in a week and it's almost guaranteed to be a week from hell. Right now it looks like I have an exam on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. All but one of them are at 8:00 AM or 7:45 AM (and the Saturday one is at 8:00AM).

Mark,
Be sure to let your prof knows of your illness. It's a toss up if it will make a difference, but letting them know usually will help matters.
I once had a big final exam, pulled an all nighter studying as it was a big part of final grade. Got to the room for the exam to find that a family emergency had pulled the prof away and the dept head decided whatever grades that had been eraned up to that point would be the final grade. Don't wait to the final to bring your grade back up.

Wow! This amazes me, 7 AM Finals???? Saturday FINALS???? Your schools have classes at those times??? Our school doesn't even allot class times, nor final times for said above. Be sure you check into academic policies. Worst horror stories I have heard so far, is 4 or 5 exams on the same day. However, academic policies prohibit you from having 3 or more exams in the same day.

Mine tend to be all the other way, I have one Monday 1-3, and one Thursday 1-3. Other than that, I have night classes, and the final is held during the regularly scheduled night class from 5:45-9ish.

Best of Luck to everyone!

Exam horror story? I once fell asleep while taking an exam. It was Algebra II and I woke up with half an exam to finish and only five minutes to finish it in...

Well, Mr. Delusional Ivey, I hope you feel better and you didn't give very strange answers to your calculus questions.

I once had an early morning differential equations final. I had been sick for the past few days already. I basically had been in bed for the past few days and just got up for the final. It was cold outside and snowing. To top it off, my nose started bleeding just before I left. It proceeded to bleed on and off throughout the final. Needless to say, I didn't do as well as I had hoped in Differential Equations.

Ugh! Chemistry exam sophomore year. Though I'm in highschool, our school has open campus, so we can go wherever we wish between finals and off campus. Purdue being right there is rather convenient. So I went and played DDR over lunch, having given up on studying. Lo and behold, in some stupid Genia fashion, I managed to get a nasty sprain and thus ended up limping back to my final and took it in sheer agony. But I got my B! :)

Sorry to hear your exam isn't in good circumstances Mr. Ivey.

Re: Exam Horror!!!

OK once during a physics exam I sat at this one desk with doodles and numbers drawn all over it, and a whole lot of other things you wouldn't imagine. Bad move, because as soon as my teacher handed over the test she hovered over me, glanced at my desk and saw all the equations we needed to know to take the test, which I hadn't noticed until she mentioned it. And then, obviously, she jumped to the conclusion that I had written them on the desktop...and accused me of cheating!!! Right in front of everyone!!! It was so unfair, because I hadn't even seen the equations written on the desk. I was absolutely horrified, and a bit embarrassed, even though I was completely innocent...I guess it's because I always did like her, and ever since then she lost her trust in me. At least she didn't give me a zero...but she hasn't spoken to me since :(
