What Did YOU Give Up To Make Your Build Season Meeting!?
My good friend Kayla just asked if I wanted to go to Florida for the weekend because they have room for one more! Now keep in mind I live in SNOWY and COOOOOLD New Hampshire... but I had to give all that up, because the magic STARTS SATURDAY! In my opinion its well worth it!
What did YOU Give up to make the First Build Season Meeting!?!? |
Re: What Did YOU Give Up To Make Your Build Season Meeting!?
I didn't give it up.
But I did drop my chemistry class, since it conflicted with the meetings on 1293. |
Re: What Did YOU Give Up To Make Your Build Season Meeting!?
I schedule everything around robotics ahead of time so I won't have to give anything up. I suppose I might have to work a little less than I want in order to make all the build season meetings. But I still get to work, nonetheless.

I gave up track, tennis, and my school trip to Inauguration.. C'est la vie, though.. FIRST is well worth the sacrifices :)

Re: What Did YOU Give Up To Make Your Build Season Meeting!?
For Robotics in general, i have definitely given up a lot. I have given up 2/3 school sports; Baseball/Lacrosse and Soccer, 2 jobs; Subway and Shop Rite, and countless days/nites that i could have gone out with friends.
And a 3 week German Exchange program in Germany, so i could go to WPI over the summer this year(well this will eventually happen). |

Re: What Did YOU Give Up To Make Your Build Season Meeting!?
Hmm ... I gave up a trip to Germany, with my dad, to go to IRI in 2003. And, of course, sleep. Lots and lots of sleep. ;)

Re: What Did YOU Give Up To Make Your Build Season Meeting!?
the question shouldn't be "what did you give up?"-
it should be "what did you give? " WC  |
Re: What Did YOU Give Up To Make Your Build Season Meeting!?
I don't give things up ;). I brush them away if they get in the way of robotics. My band teacher doesn't like this. But...it happens.

Re: What Did YOU Give Up To Make Your Build Season Meeting!?
I have given up somethings for this build season. One of the things that I have given up for this build season is seeing my family. I am very busy with sports and wildstang so the only time I get to see my family is when I am saying goodnight to them. I also gave up a lot of sleeping time.. I can imagine that a lot of you have lost a lot of sleep too! I have come to school and have fallen asleep in a few classes but that is ok.. I have also given up eatting something other than junk food.. It is hard for me because I go from my sport to wildstang with not a lot of eatting... I usually eat a little later in the night.. You know 9 or 9:30.. I dont really care tho if I have to give this stuff up tho, because I love first and I love meeting new people :D
