Weight of the kit base?

Could some please post the weight of the kit base once it has been fully assembled . I am dieing to know how much weight is left for arms and other do dad. I know some of you are thinking why doesn't he just weight the components ,because I have done that in the past and it always gets heavier
than the sum of the components ,I think the mass of the component increases the closer you get to the ship date . :ahh:

thanks jim schaddelee

Re: How much weight is left?

I believe that the Kit Frame and Gearboxes together are a bit over 30 pounds total.

Don't forget the motors too.

Has anyone weighed all the motors, if so can they post all the weights together

I believe that the 30 pounds includes the 4 CIM motors.

We finally got the frame assembled today. It weights about 12 pounds (without the plate that attaches to the gearboxes).

Frame with just rails and hardware for connecting those rails: 10.35lbs

Motors: 9.75lbs ea.

9.75 lbs per motor? No way. Thats a third of the weight just for motors..........

I think he meant the motors and the gearbox, or maybe just all 4 motors?

Oops.. sorry. 2 motors in a fully assembled (as shipped to us) gearbox = 9.75 lbs..
My bad! Sorry for the confusion.

edit 1:The frame weight reference is correct though, I weighed that myself.
edit 2: Then again, that was the long configuration for the frame, 38" length, and 28" width.

The weight with the battery doesn't matter. We don't have to weigh in with it.

Other teams have posted that the frame, gearboxes, etc all weigh in at 30 lbs. add maybe 5 pounds more for electronics and you should be looking at a reasonable weight.
