Re: Top 10 Songs

Didn't read your second post, sorry.

I'm not really a fan of any of those artists... If you can even call some of them artists. As of right now a few of my favorite songs that are being played right now are:

Trick Daddy - Let's Go, mainly because of them sampling Ozzy, and putting alot of energy in to the song.

Jimmy Eat World - Pain Just a good rock song by a good rock band

The Killers - Somebody told me because bands that have a "the" in there name are cool, and its a pretty good song too.

Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams I really liked it when it first came out... but now its the only thing my sister listens to any more, I'm starting to get sick of it.

As for some song that I have been listening to for well over a year and still have not gotten sick of:
  • 311 - Beautiful Disaster
  • ACDC - Hells Bells
  • Aerosmith - Janies got a gun
  • Alkaline Trio - We've had enough
  • Antiloop - In my mind
  • Bad Religion - You
  • Beethoven - 9th Symphony
  • Anything by Blue Man Group
  • Boondock Saints Theme
  • Coldplay - The Scientist
  • Dispatch - The General
  • Dropkick Murphys - Curse of the Fallen Soul
  • Fastball - The Way
  • Gary Jules - Mad World
  • Harry Connick Jr. - City beneath the sea
  • Igor Stravinsky - The firebird Suite
  • KGB - Lover Undercover
  • Lost Prophets - Shinobi vs. Dragon Ninja
  • Metallica - Nothing Else matters
  • O.A.R - That was a crazy game of Poker
  • Pixies - Where is my Mind?
  • Radiohead - Creep
  • RHCP - Around the World
  • Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun
  • Stray Cats - Rockabilly Rules
  • Sublime - Santeria
  • Vivaldi - Four Seasons (Complete)
  • Voltaire - Feathery Wings

I know I didnt need to go that in depth but its Sat afternoon and I was bored. I hope this helps.

-Aaron

Seeing that just made my day. OAR is my favorite band of all time.

As for the poll list, I really like the Gavin Degraw song and the new Kelly Clarkson song.

Re: Top 10 Songs

Yes, but not for that reason.. Just cause it is a good song, with pretty weird chorus lyrics....

And, for the poll, I also chose the Kelly Clarkson song, Since You've Been Gone.

I typically do not like bands with no instruments, re: Singers with background music, but think that Kelly has strong feelings in this song, that she relates to it with her change in pitch for the slow parts, and then a deep commitment to the song as far as vocals are concerened when it picks up. She really puts her emotions into her lyrics for this song. Which, is always important.

Re: Top 10 Songs

I like the new Kelly song, I think she's amazing. I hated almost every song/artist on that list, so haha. She was my choice.
I'm one to despise rap.
*waits for the bad rep*

In agreement with Aaron: Boulevard of Broken Dreams ROCKS! I'm obsessed with that song....! Seth and I love that song. w00t.

Re: Top 10 Songs

I liked just about every song on that list .. with the exception of the ones that have been so overplayed (like Let Me Love You) ...

But I agree with Aaron .. Green Day: Boulevard of Broken Dreams is amazing ...

and right now I also really like Say Hi To Your Mom: Let's Talk About Spaceships

I love The Killers. I heard Somebody Told Me on the radio once and then got their CD. Other than Mr. Brightside I didn't really like the others at first but they started to grow on me and now I think they're great

BIG DARUDE FAN HERE!!! of course, which remix do you like better? My favorite is: Sandstorm: Darude Vs. Orgy Astro American Remix. 7 minutes of pure trance and hard bass guitar that I can't seem to get enough of. :D

Re: Top 10 Songs

Yeah, really, why are all of these songs rap? There are other music genres like rock for instance. How about some Slipknot, Duality or Green Day, American Idiot?

Re: Top 10 Songs

Hmm...I'm more of a classic rock guy myself, but I do like some modern music (some Green Day and in particular, Tenacious D). So here are my top 5 played tracks for the past two months, courtesy of audioscrobbler

1 Tenacious D - Tribute
2 Eric Clapton - Cocaine
3 Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
3 Bob Dylan - Like a rolling stone
5 Europe - The Final Countdown

As for the final countdown, that one is kind of an inside joke. My top artists are:

1 The Beatles
2 Paul McCartney
3 Pink Floyd
3 Team America
5 Eric Clapton

Re: Top 10 Songs

My top 10, as per my iPod:
  • Let's Dance (Remix) - Pastor Hezekiah Walker
  • What's Up? - 4 Non Blondes
  • Rebel Yell - Billy Idol
  • Lady Don't Tek No - Latyrx
  • So Dizzy - Rehab
  • Neutron Dance - Pointer Sisters
  • Genius of Love - Tom Tom Club
  • Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go - Wham!
  • Float On - Modest Mouse
  • Surrender - Cheap Trick

Modest Mouse and Pastor Hezekiah Walker are contemporary, I guess. Genius of Love is the oldest song on the list, I believe.
