Team Logo
 

So our team is a third year team this year and for the past two years we have been using the logo in my avatar. We were having a discussion today about whether or not to change it. The argument to not changing it is that people recognize us by that logo now. The argument to changing is that it is cryptic (the first angle is "h", second angle is an "r", and last angle is a "t" that stands for HRT, Harker Robotics Team). So what do you guys think? Do you guys like the logo?

It is rather abstract but also it's pretty unique.
Try out some designs and see what shakes out. If you don't like the results stick with what you have.

I personally think it is a very cool logo. Knowing what it acturally represents makes it even better.

I usually recognize teams by their team number. I think that a lot of people do that. We have changed our logo a few times and Im that no one reallly noticed but everyone still knows who we are because of the numbers.

One more question which I might as well put here. Earlier this year our team voted on the name of our new bot to be "Rexxar". Most of the voters are people on the team who sit around and do nothing and do not contribute much. Most of the people who contribute a lot liked my idea of the name "Worq". Reason is because our first year our bot was called "Tork" and last year it was "Phorce". Misspelled physics terms!! So what name do you guys think is better, "Rexxar" or "Worq"? Or if someone could come up with some creative way of misspelling "Radius" or "Distance" (Tork = Phorce x _______).

Ooh, bad spelling.. I am torn. I like making new works that actually sound correct phonetically, but.. then.. ya know.. there is the whole "spelling" thing.. :rolleyes:

Btw, what is a Rexxar? I know Worq = Work.

There's a funny story with that. When I hear Rexxar, I think of the dinosaur from Rugrats (the TV show). But when I asked my friends about it, they said that Rexxar is a character from the Warcraft game . *shrugs* :(

Personally, I would like Trogdor a whole lot better. But I would love a non-dinosaur name the best. :D

It is from Warcraft Ankur :-P. And ya for you other people, the name Rexxar comes from this crazy guy in our team whos smart but doesnt really do anyinthg. He has a stuffed dinosaur named Rexxar. But ya, any better names would be suggested. I was thinking like a mispelling of velocity, but seems kiind of wierd and too long
