So it appears as though we're starting a game of catch with Genia in Atlanta. Who's in?

In other news, this has happened before. I have been used for catch. I am short. Perhaps it can be the entertainment portion of the webhug? Who can throw Genia the furthest, eh...

Of course you can hang me upside down. Then I'll get taller, thus ruining the purpose. Seriously, I have a few rules for volunteers:

1) Safety first. Yes, I can do gymnastics. No, this is not the matrix. So uh, no throwing off of high places. Just a simple happy game of catch.

2) All in good fun! If you have tension, I prefer you take it out with me over PM (not in this thread) prior to the throwing contest, for the sake of my functionality in pit design.

Play-Catch-with-Genia?
that has always been my favorite game! even since way back in the day!
I can remember sitting out on a hot summer day, and then we would roll Genia into a ball and start a nice little game called "don't drop Genia!" or "DDG" for short.
I would definitely be up for volunteering for this event. You guys can get ahold of me for some help if you need it. I can probably even bring in some recruits from my team (since they all met her at kokomo!).
Now i have 2 reasons to count down till nationals!

This sounds like a lot of fun. The first time I actually meet Genia face-to-face, she could be rolled into a ball, flying through the air! (note: I, too, am short, but I would not like to be thrown. I have no sport skills except for bowling and mini-golf, so I have a feeling I would just hurt myself. I'm quite clumsy as it is. Let's not add becoming airborne to the mix).

I'm short too, but I wouldn't wanna be thrown. I'm not as skinny as Genia is...
But hey I'll definitely join in, if I can throw and catch her...oh boy..

Geez people......sometimes short people can be the scariest....you REALLY sure you want to play catch the anybody? Besides which...it can get out of hand and downright scary when people do that type of thing....at least in the end. /me thinks back to being the center of one of the CD Web hugs a few years back for being the shortest person there. And on a further more happy note...I would like to remind everybody there are shorter people in first. For instance Im only 4'9".

Apparently, she didn't run fast enough.

Ed reminded me, I grabbed her, and Genia caught air...for about .01 seconds until Pat McCarthy caught her.

So yes, we played catch with Genia in Atlanta. Let's make it bigger and better for 2006!

Now now, anything is possible.

But first, you'll have to perfect cloning and perform it on Big Mike (or possibly Brandon Martus) before you'll have two people strong enough to lift me up, much less cause air time. :D

On an unrelated note, I want to note that Pat McCarthy of HOT was the person to catch Genia. His team then went on not only to win the Championship, but also take home the Chairman's Award.

I guess we need to make this an annual thing!
