Scaled Playing Field

One of our mentors for our team built a scaled playing field of this years game about a week ago, I thought I would share it with you guys. Its scalled to 1inch=1foot, and even has scalled robots. Its a great tool for visualization, even beats out 3d comptuer models in my own opinion....

Does anyone else have mini playing fields like these?

Re: Scaled Playing Field

I created a large-format playing field based on the official field drawing, but without all the dimension lines.

It is designed to be about 1"=1' and is in Powerpoint and can be printed-out at Kinko's or any place with a wide-format inkjet printer.

The paper-based field is HERE.

You can make scaled-down tetras and goals out of soda straws.

That same field is also an 11"x17" paper play field for "strategy planning" like drawing football plays. The small printable field (again, without all the dimension lines) is located HERE

We've got ours taped to a table in the model shop for "game-playing"
