104 non posters

Okay you guys, I am really bored. I was looking at the post counter and saw that there are 104 people registered to the forum who have never posted. Why? I don't understand how some people can read the forums and not post. I guess I don't expect any of them to explain this to me, so I thought I'd bring it up to the rest of the registered members. What do you guys think about it?
C~ya,
Carolyn

i actually used to read these forums and not post...but that was back in the day when anton was around, so it wasnt really nessissary...
i guess i sorta took over his role

EddieMcD 12-07-2001 11:49

Say, whatever happened to Anton anyway?

Jessica Boucher 12-07-2001 17:28

Lol, I thought you said you read these forums....Im just kidding, Ive prob missed a lot too.

From what I remember, Anton left 419, and is currently in the Phillippines.

mike o'leary 12-07-2001 19:04

anton, along with all the college students from umass who were on the team have parted ways with the rambots, which is why we on 419 no longer have a college.
and anton is indeed in the phillipeens, visiting family for the summer. he must have some sort of limited access to a comp over there though cuz ive talked to him online 4 or 5 times and told him to re-register here. when i told him about the new forums he liked the idea of the chit-chat forum...

hmm...

I actually started posting more on this message board than I did on the old one. I did post every so often, but Michael did most of the posting on the old board. And now, I just put in my two cents every so often, just not usually for anything important. Hehe.

i go through withdrawl if i go a day without posting.:p

Tom Fairchild 13-07-2001 01:12

I read the old forums all last year, just to get a good idea of what was going on in the rest of the FIRST world. Once we made the switch to the new ones (Awesome job, Brandon!) is when I started posting.

~Tom~, who's now a fully admitting addict, but doesn't yet feel worthy for the term post-a-holic.

EddieMcD 13-07-2001 21:32

Well, you need 100 posts to get post-a-holic anyway. The high priest is wondering how many it takes for CD addicted ninny.

Oh, and Anton finally posted over in the general forum.

After 100 posts you are a "Senior Member" [thats what it was the last time I checked]

After 150 posts, its all up to you to decide your title...

Carolyn Duncan 14-07-2001 09:44

I posted on the old forums pretty regularly. By the time I really got addicted and was on the forum every chance I got, we changed over to the new forums. It took some getting used to but now I love them!

I lurked quite a bit early on (very early on, like when the forums were first put up). I would post only when something really interested me, which turned out to be something like 5 posts a year.

Then in the middle of 2000, I decided to take a more active role in posting and meeting people. Its not difficult to make that change, but it takes some effort, especially if you are shy.

EddieMcD 14-07-2001 14:20

For some reason, The High Priest took about a 2 month break from CD, and started on this board around the 21st of June.

Joe? shy? I would've never guessed. Hehe. :) I met a lot of people in the chatroom. THEN I moved into the forums. I posted every so often on the old boards, and I still don't post all that much, but a whole lot more than before!

I don't think any body should be shy. Life is too short. You've got to go and do if you want to get the max out of everything. Sometimes that doesn't work out for the best, but at least you learned something so your experiences were for a reason.
C~ya, Carolyn who is so out going she jumped on all the people wearing mascot suits at nationals (no one seemed upset, it was all in good fun).
