Well, they could also be used for lifting back up a flipped bot :) and also for defense to extend your bots length and width.

I have no clue what the exterior shape has to do with it though...time for some more thinking :]

I'm as they say, jealous. Wish i had access to a waterjet. Much kudos to you, and i'm quite intrigued by the prospective of a rapid tetra stacker. Got me rushing back to the drawing board modifying my design to increase its speed. Should be quicker now thanks to what you've implied ;).

Very nice. Reminds me of a tiger waiting in the bushes. Although i'm sure that will change with the addition of an arm :)

Anti-tipping maybe? I'm pretty sure you guys will have some type of crazy arm.

sry, i don't know the coefficient of my butt. But if it helps i think i am around 200+ lbs.

(all the programming i do for my team just to be treated as dead weight for the robot to push ;) )

I just watched that thing drive in the match videos from UCF, and it drives like a charm. Just a question, I'm assuming the center wheels are lowered, but how much?

By the way, conrats on winning UCF...the driving at the end of Finals Match 1 to get into the end zone was amazing.

The design was .2 lower at center. But I learned something about welding this year. Normally when you weld steel it pulls the joints together. But we found all the aluminum welding on this thing actually pushed the joints apart. So from the side view of this thing it did a banana shape a little over the length of it. So if you held one end on the ground the other ends wheels are almost 1/2" off the floor. So it's as if that center wheel is more like 3/8" lower.

And that last match was cool. It looked like a pinball machine how he bounced off everything but kept making progress back. Tytus is good at driving in reverse as well as Fwd. But I've watched that last moment a few times. It's really neat to see how pink made all the right moves to create the gap, and then it seemed like it hopped in there just so. That was actually the very final match of UCF.
Thanks for the compliments.
