Who was the first to...

Ok, so its not really a game, but this is what happens when im bored in class....

Think of something odd that we do nowadays, that seems like habit, but if you think about it makes no obvious sense, and state it like this:

"Who was the first person to say 'God bless you' after someone sneezed?"

Dont put silly things like "Who was the first person to put a window in their house?" Cause...well....thats not very imaginative, is it?

And go! :-p

Like, sneak INTO school and forget that everyone else doesnt as well.

(Or that could be another thread ;) )

I want to know who was the first person to figure out that if you cured an olive in salt water, that nasty tasting berry would become palatable. Even more amazing is that someone would try eating one that had soaked in lye!

I actually have a funny story about this .. I was at camp and we were playing "the salt game" where you pass the salt shaker across the table and first person to get it to land half on the table half off the edge wins ... so we were playing and I knocked it over and my counsellor told me to throw salt over my left shoulder into the face of the devil .. so i poured some salt into my hand and threw it over my left shoulder. Into the face of a 6 year old.

Re: Who was the first to...

I dont know who the first person to eat a lobster was, but I conjecture they didnt like it, because lobsters use to be fed to prisoners (without butter!) because they were considered garbage.

Imagine if that were still the case?

Who was the first person to think "I can build better computers than IBM and actually start a company that did?" (real person)

Who was the first person to find a bug in their computer hardware (and what kind of bug was it?)

Who was the first person to die in an airplane crash?

Who was the first person to be butchering an animal and think "hey this liver looks yummy!" (I want to have a few words with him regarding my childhood meals!)

who was the first person killed by a robot?
