Team 211 MAK

I would like to personally invite team 211 MAK to Rally In The Valley. You guys have an awsome bot and I know you didn't get to go to many compititions this year. So please concider it.
Sincerely
Kaity Palmer Team 95

PS if anyone from MAK does read this, could you please tell Summer I said hi :)

David Kelso 08-04-2002 18:54

I would not want to miss this event. This will be another chance to see the most awesome ball grabber of the year. The host team of Rally in the Valley, Lebanon Robotics #95, gave a show at the UTC New England Regional that was just about unbelievable. Back in early January, I did not think that it was even possible to drive down the sideline in 5 seconds and neatly put away 20 balls. Great job #95. Can't wait to see it again.

Keith Chester 09-04-2002 18:57

Hey.
I'm not saying Team 25 (Raider Robotix, the Silver Scorpion) will be making this one, but I just wanted to post that I loved your bot. It was simply amazing the ball power that you guys had. By the way, who is your main driver? We talked awhile but never did get a good exchange of names/email addresses.
Good luck in setting up that competition.

Good luck in setting up that competition.

Our drivers were:
Kaity Palmer - "weapons officer"
Andy Alvarenga - on the stick
Ryan Meador - brain, negotiator/strategist
Daniel Denton - student coach/mentor/strategist
-and a finer bunch will be hard to find.

Yeah, Team 885 will probably be going to the Rally in the Valley and Coach Caitlyn and Driver Phil would also love to see Team 211 MAK down there. And yeah, if someone from 211 reads THIS, "hi to all you guys" and could Cate and me get Sommyr's email address maybe????
Thx all you guys, so long...

I was wondering if someone from Lebanon could give an updated list of who is going to this competition thanx

Chris 29-04-2002 18:55

Is there any open spots? 151 is going, and talking to one of my favorite teams the TRIBE 237 at natonals, they said they were very interested in attending.

Last time I checked, we had 13 teams coming for sure. Sorry, but I can't remember which teams. I'll try to get the full list posted soon (either by me or Dolly). So far it seems a good chunk of NH and Mass teams are coming. Now that everyone is back from Florida I suspect that we'll fill up the remaining slots (we're looking at a max of 24 teams) quickly. So if you still want to come (or want someone else to come) there is plenty of space left.

I'll let you guys know whats up as soon as I can...

-Andy A.

Andy A. 03-05-2002 10:10

Here's a list of the teams currently signed up for sure. There may be a few more that are not yet a sure thing.

1. 40 The Pioneers Trinity High School Manchester NH
2. 88 TJ2 Bridgewater MA
3. 95 The Grasshoppers Lebanon/Hanover/Hartford High Schools Lebanon NH
4. 131 C.H.A.O.S. Manchester Central High School Manchester NH
5. 134 Team Discovery Pembroke Academy Pembroke NH
6. 140 Pride First Tyngsborough High School Tyngsboro MA
7. 151 Nor'east Beast Nashua High School Nashua NH

13. 350 The Grat JJATSBY Timberlane Regional High School NH
14. 501 The Power Knights Manchester High School West Manchester NH

Thats all I have for right now. If you're sure you are coming, but you're team name isn't on this list, don't worry about it. This is by no means an offical list. If you have any questions about your registration just talk to Dolly. Remember, we are looking for 24 teams, so there are plenty of slots open!

If that 19th team wants help i can find some one who is willing to pay the 100 dollers for you.
Just ask.

Todd Derbyshire 15-05-2002 16:23

So how is this going to work is it going to be the top 4 teams pick because not every alliance can have 3 partners

Rick 16-05-2002 14:15

finals

i think finals would be great if every team got to play. If you have the top 6 pick, everyone plays in finals. You give the first 2 seeds and their alliances a bye and let the winners of 3-6 and 4-5 go against them. But then again it would be like gym class, whoever gets picked last would probably be looked down upon.

Chris 16-05-2002 15:40

I think the top 8 should each get to pick one partner, that way not one team is left out. also i think it would be really interesting if the seeded teams couldn't pick one another, cause no offense to anyone going but if seeded team can pick each other the winning alliance will probably one of the two great ball bots, 95,121 Plus one of the great two goal towers 195,190. So if the seeded teams couldn't pick one another it would be a lot fairer.
Just my thoughts i'm sure it will be great either way.

Hey all!

Just two days left till the opening of the offseason competitions for T-190, and what a way to get started. We missed you all at UTC (didn't go cause FIRST asked us not to, as we went to 2 regionals and the Nats). A bunch of the team went down during the UTC regional, and were very impressed with what we saw ( and a little upset that we missed out in competiting in it!!). It will be truely an honor sharing the field of battle and being part of a great great group of teams! I'm certainly ready to dawn my rally cap and mix things up a bit....GAME ON!

Jgreenwd1 17-05-2002 23:50

rally

We spent about 8 hours setting up the feild and the pits.

Team numer 11 can not make it to the competition.

So we have 17 teams going to be there.

Jgreenwd1 18-05-2002 18:54

the end

The rally went very well, even thought we had to cut the pratice rounds shot.

Only two teams didnt show up.

Thanks to team 501 for picking use sorry we didnt go any further then we did. Congratualtion to team 190, 121, 885 for winning(i think these teams were the winners)

PsychoPhil 18-05-2002 19:07

we really won!

Yepp, you're right, the winning alliance was 121, 190 and 885!

I just want to thank 121 and 190 officially again from our whole team for the good team work! We got really lucky today to be allianced with you guys! Great job and thank you!

And also I have to admit the Rally was for the most parts excellent organized! Keep up the good work and thank you to all the volunteers and to Team 95 who made this possible! It was great!

Phil
