Re: Autonomous With Camera
Hmmmm, good point. It does increment the counter in the program I am running on the bot, and other than that the only differences in the functional part (I never comment my actual code :)) are that a) right now it tracks red, not green (for a demonstration tomorrow that could get us nine grand) and b) it doesnt say to put the drive code here, instead it uses a modified version of the default drive code. I realised today that I have not actually put the robot on the floor and had it drive with this code, but I have had it on blocks and it tracks nicely and the wheels definetly turn in the right directions. I will let you know after our demo tomorrow if it actually works :D .

Re: Autonomous With Camera
That demo sounds sweet, hope that went well for you. I have seen our robot a total of 2 times, so its a bit tough for me to experiment with the code, so I appreciate your help. I still dont understand exactly what is going on with the camera, but I think I know enough now to scrape an auto mode together. I had tested something similiar to your code, but the bot may have been tracking the wrong direction or something, it was acting weird. I dont like the way the default camera code sets turning/forward speed so I think I am just going to make my own code. Again, thanks, and good luck

Re: Autonomous With Camera
Ah. Well, the demo thingy is over and the bot sort of worked. But like I said I wrote that code I posted from memory, and come to find out I would have been better off using that, as in my code for the bot I neglected to put an else to stop the motors. Ever seen what a robot can do to a vending machine? Actually it hit the side so nothing actually broke but it was still cool. As it was though the people were still very impressed and I think we will get the money, I was just very annoyed with myself. Anyway, yeah once I fixed that it worked just fine.

Re: Autonomous With Camera
im sure that someone has asked this before. but what are the numerical values for the range of the servo on the camera? is it -127 to 127 or what? is it 0 to 254 like the robot? need some help with this please.

Re: Autonomous With Camera
It is the normal 0-254 type number, but the range is somewhat decreased, I think the functional range is something like 47-212 or something along those lines. It says in one of the documents in the getting started file.
