power of the mind

There's a lot of things that go up in our head, and many people have tried for many long years to try and explain them, learn about them, study them, and change them. However our mind is sooooo complex, even with our technology, and knowledge, we still don't fully understand the brain. The power of the mind, does it actually overcome the power of the body? Well maby, or maby not. I know if you think your hitting a soft, easily broken object, when you hit a concrete block, if your convinced its easily broken, then you will break through the block. I also know if you convince somebody they are about to be burned, and then blind-fold them, then take an ice-cube and touch it to their skin, their skin will boil up and burn. There are a lot of things we don't know, is luck one of them?

Tom Fairchild 25-07-2001 16:26

<---- feels stupid because this is the second time that he's said Mike's left something out of a post and hasn't.

<---- apparently can't read

<---- gives Mike his deepest appoligies.

The same Tom Fairchild who was with Carolyn at the team party when she had to leave one of the "clubs" due to an incident involving a table. Your a rebel Tom, who sometimes uses that last brain cell for things other than thinking. :)
You know I'm just joking.

Tom Fairchild 25-07-2001 23:36

Hey now! I thought we were keeping that one a secret!

~Tom~, who WASN'T the one dancing on the table (Carolyn...... ;) )

Shh! I didn't tell everyone what happend, that was all you. You coulda kept your fingers still on that one. Besides, it was on the big screen out side, can't really keep that a secret. Did I tell you that the next day some people asked me about that? Now that I think about it, there is evidence of another "incident" from VCU...

Flair 26-07-2001 12:20

Maby someone should start a new thread entitled "dirty secrets of FIRSTers" Because with all this going on I might...

j/k

Hey! At least this one will be somewhat better to read due to the fact that it pretains to FIRST and we'll understand more. It'l also be more fun to tease people at nats. How about if I call it something a bit nicer than dirty little secrets? This is a family site ya know.

EddieMcD 27-07-2001 13:06

Secrets of FIRSTers that might have them compared to Bill Clinton and Gary Condit?

Carolyn Duncan 27-07-2001 15:14

Theirs weren't really secrets now were they?

mike o'leary 27-07-2001 15:24

somehow i doubt it would be another tabloid...cuz i have a scary feeling that nothing posted there would be fictitious.
