Accelerometer Wiring/Input

I wired up the accelerometer to a pwm cable attaching the same colour wires of the pwm to the accelerometer because that seemed to be the logical thing to do. The input that is recieved from the command (Get_Analog_Value(rc_ana_in02)) say constand regardless of what ever you do with the accelerometer ie. move it back and forth. The value is 834, i was just wondering if anyone has had a simular problem or if I'm doing something wrong.
Thanks

It's a good idea to read the documentation before you wire things, and to search before you post.

The cable provided in the kit of parts uses a non-standard
color coding for power. Connect the black wire to +5V and
the red wire to ground. The white wire connects to the RC's
analog input.
