Again, SAFETY!

I understand that the guy is wearing a glass. But don't you think you still need a safety goggles? I have explained in one thread, how I was about to lose my eye. that whouldn't have been pretty.

I honestly thought "awwww, what a cute lathe" when I saw that. Where does one buy a baby lathe like that?

Here is a resourceful website also:

They are all over Google...

Some people actually turn this mini lathes and mills into fully functional CNC machines for a hobby.

awww it's so little. we have a mentor with a mini lathe and bridgeport that we sometimes are able to bring to competition....BUT YES YOU NEED SAFETY GLASS..don't wanna lose an eye like Arefin almost did that wouldn't be pretty at all. we have students on our team that doesn't understand the safetly glasses rule- i've many times i could have lost my eyesight if i wasn't wearing my safety glass.

but everyone be safe around the shop..machining parts is fun to do.. I Love the Bridgeport and lathe :)

If you water it and nurture it and fertilize it and put it out in the sunlight, it might just grow up to be a big lathe... :)

And he will use a fork lift to load it, no extra charge !!!!

I like the lathe. It makes it easier to fabricate smaller parts.
On the safety glasses issue, at least wear side shields ;)

Thanks everyone for your concern regarding Safety Glasses. I agree that Safe practices in the work place always need to be our first concern. Our excitement and entertainment with the mini lathe should not have over shadowed our policy regarding safety first. Thanks again for the kind reminder! Ken
