Re: pic: Why we work in Florida
Wow, mylittlemechman ... absolutely amazing, I keep telling myself I dislike Florida, the heat, and finding gators under my vehicle everytime I am there... but then I see photos like that. I'll give you the ice on my windshield instead every morning. :p

Re: pic: Why we work in Florida
So
I have a funny story for you SPAM kids. There is a funny guy on your team, who thinks he's immune to the cold. But he came up to visit Indiana for a weekend and frolic, and well, let's just say he couldn't even handle 30 or 40. ;) Let alone 10. This was in January. 50? Ha! Feeling brave are we? And the fellow was called Gaterunner! (Sorry Scott, I told you I'd laugh at you for getting cold ;)) |

I got a little story for you Genia, 2003 Midwest Regional, there were 8 of us team mates who went up there. 6 of us walked out of the hotel with just one shirt on and enjoyed the weather. What am I trying to point out? ... Floridians are crazy and tough. -Arefin. |
Re: pic: Why we work in Florida
But Ary!
You can't top the U Michigan- Ann Arbor yearly streak in February, or the Carleton University Streaker's Guild. You pull one of those off, and I'll call you a tough one :P But til then? |
Re: pic: Why we work in Florida
views like that make being locked in your house for a week straight and living through 3-4 miserable hurricanes totally worth it. every afternoon on my way home from school (or out to work on the robot), i notice the sunset and thank God for the ability to appreciate the beauty of the changing colors of the sky, the reflections of pink and purple and orange on the clouds while the sky slowly changes from its traditional blue to a deep purple and eventually to a dusky black, with dots of light twinkling innocently back at you.
you people on the West coast are so lucky.. i've never seen a sunset on the water, dispite the fact that i've lived in Florida since i was two. (i was in CT before then... but i dont remember anything.) the only thing i dont like about Florida is how miserably FLAT it is. no rolling hills or mountains or anything... just eternal flatness. when i went to Georgia to visit my uncle, i absolutely fell in love with the rolling hills, the trees, the crisp air, everything. :) but i still love Florida, dispite how humid and soggy and gross it can be at times. i'll be in Colorado for the Denver Regional in a little over a month... i've never seen mountains, i've never played in snow, and i dont think i've ever truly experienced what "cold" is. ^^; i'm a little worried... our team uniform consists of short sleeved T-shirts and board shorts. should i be prepared to freeze to death? |
