"Once upon a time, not so long ago,

there was an inventor by the name of Deam Kamen, who was concerned about students and thier futures in the science and technology fields.

One day he thought to himself, "Why not design a game from a limited source of parts to challenge thier minds and creativity?", and so the idea of FIRST came to him.

He enlisted the help of others, he asked corporations for sponsorship, he................."

<Andy>(in a preaching kind of voice) ...AND ON THE 45th SECOND OF THE 45th MINUTE OF THE 45th YEAR, THE LORD SAID THE TECHNOKATS WILL WIN THIS REGIONAL

<girl on left> Great, he's reading from the "secret mentor manual ", it clearly says to say "and on the <team number> second of the <team number> minute of the <team number> year, THE LORD SAID THE <TEAM NAME> WILL WIN THIS <EVENT> before every event

Little did the silly pig farmer know, the book he was reading was upside down. The stories he 'read' to the team to motivate them about The Poor Little Wingman That Could did little good.

[Not an Entry] If Dave knows how to win the game, why hasn't team 116 won any of the competitions?

That's the irony in my post. Who know's why we havent won, maybe Dave is holding out and selling his ideas on a black market. Dave is not the team he is a part (a big part). The strategy group came up on the stratgies for this years game based on what they had seen from stu-bot, and was disscussed during stu-bot.

Dudes, forget the robot - check out this "Rockstar Haircuts" picture book instead! Hmm....do you think I should go with the Bon Jovi perm or the Poisonesque Aqua Net look? Boy, I sure do miss wearing my torn denim jacket and neon green spandex pants (at the same time), but I need something that accentuates my new desperate-to-avoid-feeling-old wannabe rocker persona yet still preserves my dorky engineer farmboy vibe - I think I'll go with the mullet - business in the front, party in the back. ROCK ON!

:p

"to stack, or not to stack, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the game to block
The robotd and teams of outrageous scores,
Or to take arms against a sea of totes,
And by opposing end them? To stack: to block;
No more"

Andy: "…. roll call is now completed, at ease everyone. Lunch and bathroom assignment will start-
John , lunch 1201 to 1206 hour, bathroom break 1206-1208 hour.

Amy, lunch 1206 to 1211 hour, bathroom 1208-1210 hour.

Joe, no lunch for you until our pit floor is clean enough for me to eat my lunch on, clean it again.

Sam, you spent 5 minutes this morning in the bathroom, this is not acceptable, I run the tightest ship….. I meant team at this regional."

Group: "Sir yes sir!"

Btw, we did win the regional :p

I was there, I know what he really said (I think I remember....it was some inspirational book that he found at his brother in law's house who lived nearby)

But for the fun of the game,

"Our reading today is from the 3rd chapter of Baker, verses 17-38."

"See kids....I'm just like Bill Beatty....except instead of comparing making a robot to baking a cake, I compare it to making something that can overcook Beatty's cake" :p (he really doesn't say that but hey, I think its hilarious)
