Nice clean, low CG, elegant arm, simple solution, solid drive chassis, safe and enclosed. Looks like it could cap fast to. Excellent work! I like the long chain up the middle.. Reminds me of something ;) I think I like this one the best so far.

OMG, the pyramid resembles our robot's design from last year. Even the arm's positioning is familiar.

This is somewhere between eerie and "smells like copycats"
:ahh:

nice robot. it looks like you guys took the KISS thing to heart in making it :] . i like it, now only if other people on my team would like to keep things simple...

It looks good, alot better than my team's bot, lol. I love plexiglass and aluminum, the wood or whatever that is in the trim for its vertical casing is the only thing that takes away from it. Less is more- you guys made pretty much the perfect bot with the most simple solution. I'm glad you're not in our regional, you'd probably whoop us :)

It's all aluminium.

Also for 616, it's an origional idea, nothing was taken from you from last year. We arn't like that. ;)

You guys did a great job this year. Joe, can't wait for VCU and ATL. I've been around 384 for 5 years now, first as a student, now mentor, and what they came up with is so simple and elegant. Really incredable job, and I really like how the new arm design came out.

Great job guys! Once again, 384 can serve as a great example of KISS! I will see you tomorrow at DC! Can wait to see your bot in person!
PS, can you list some of its abilities, or do we just have to wait n see?
Great job!

I think you an blame Dave for that ;). Last year I thought there were several ideas brought about that were simple and Dave convinced the team that doing everything was a good idea. I thought that doing everything last year might have been a bad idea. However, I realized (after the season had been far over) that doing everything just brought about a much bigger challenge and involved more design, more construction, and most of all much more integration. I think that trying to do everything just allows a team to do more and learn more in the process. *The feelings about Dave convincing the team is only my opinion...and not the opinion of any other individual or group.*

what's with the tetra underneath the arm. Is it supported by the robot?

Yes, there are two screws holding it up, we use the screws as a shelf. So far it looks like we have dumped that idea, but you never know....
