Anderson Copper 70 Lugs

We would like to know if the Anderson 70 Copper Lugs need to be used through the whole electrical system or they only need to be used on the battery....thanks :)

We used the lugs on the battery and on the breaker panel. They are easy to use, and we have had no problems with them. You should have no trouble using them.

The lugs have to be used on all the 6awg connections, but there shuoldn't be that many. Just the ones on the battery leads, the other half of the battery connector, and the cable from the main breaker to the breaker panel.

see <R48>

That is the only places they are required. If you find other uses, I don't see why you couldn't.

The rule states: The ES-18-12 Battery must use the Anderson Connector and the copper SLU-70 lugs provided in the Terminal Supply Bag. Nothing about using it on ALL 6awg connections, just those on the batteries.

Just so you know Anderson does not make the copper lugs. Anyhow, you can get more at Home Depot if you need more.

and to the right of that is a diagram that shows the SLU-70 (mistyped as SLC though) terminals being used on both sides of the anderson connector, and on the lead going from the aux on the main breaker to the breaker panel.
Those are all the required 6 AWG leads. I don't think using 6awg for a motor lead would be worth the hassle.
