Rich put me down for Website and Animation.

I cant wait to see the output of these teams, i have always loved both the website and the animation competition, as it draws a whole other group into the FIRSt fray, and i've always been very inspired by both!

I would be more than honoured to look at the animations and the websites. In case you need more judges i can have a little panel from team 1219 help you guys. Take the lead on this thing, and keep us posted, it will be a great way to show our support all the way around the globe. :)

Thanks for everyone's positive responses ...
You guys rock!!!
It looks like the only help we still need is with Inventor submissions. I need two or three of you there yet. I'll recompile the lists early Mon AM. :)

wow. first of all I really glad to see all of you that are willing top help us :)

our website is www.avivrobotics.net, and the animation clip is already done, we just need to upload it. if u want to know about the other teams u can check in the official israeli FIRST site - www.firstisrael.org.il

btw, I really dont believe that there are no experts in israel in the animation and websites subjects. Im sure that we can find these people here that will be happy to do this jub.

ty again for all your efforts :)

Gal, steampunk member.

p.s like u can see if u'll check it the site is in English and not in hebrew, nor Israeli ;)

Re: To our friends in Israel

Thank you for the information Gal. The Israeli teams that completed website, animation, and Inventor entries will all have their seen, "judged", and recognized. If it needs to be "unofficial" this year through the CD community, then that's OK. I'm confident that FIRST will work this out for the future.

Maybe someone *cough cough brandon or david kelly* would be willing to set up a site that would work somewhat like FIRSTawards.org to help judge these submisions, but also give a place where these submissions could be showcased and viewed by everyone.
Just an idea.

Just saw this thread. I've been kind of busy with the Chatsworth Scrimmage and building a robot. But now that I'm back at work and can relax... ;)

I can help out with the Inventor judging.

Eugenia's point is well taken. Judges are best found locally. Corporate executives make good judges because they can help sponsor events and they are used to seeing through the BS. It could just be that FIRST was unable to find enough qualified judges in Israel who were willing to take the time for this. It can be hard enough here in the US, and we live here. Trying to do so remotely, even through the local regional committee would be much harder. I suspect that when it came down to it, they just ran out of resources.

Re: To our friends in Israel

Alright all .... we've got plenty of help for this now. Here's where I fit everyone in. THANKS. :D

Website Judges:
Jessica Boucher, DarkJedi, Katie Reynolds, Bharat

Animation:
Koko Ed, ebomonon, oneangrydwarf, thoughtful

Inventor:
Cory, Team 341, ChrisH

Others:
Kressly, Denman, Arefin

I'm closing the thread as the next step is to contact the teams to see if they'd like us to do this. I'll take care of this job. If anyone else has anything to add/clarify, please send it to me in a pm.

Look for an update/new thread soon.
