Re: pic: Team 11
Does everyone on this team actually do anything or does the main older people like captain and what not do all the work anyway? I mean how productive can that many poeple be getting in eachothers ways.

Re: pic: Team 11
MOE has 35 kids and over 20 mentors/parents and we do get in each others way sometimes it all works out just fine, team size dose not matter its what they do with the team that counts.

Re: pic: Team 11
Having a large team isn't always easy, but it does have it's advantages. Here's how we do it. We have 11 adult mentors, a project manager and an assistant project manager. We have nine teams within the team. Two end-effector/manipulator teams, a drive train team, an electrical team, a programming team, a pneumatics's team, a 3D Studio Max team, a design team, an R+D team, and a multimedia and documentation team. When you divide it up, there's plenty to do for everyone. Each team has specific tasks, and mentors with a specific knowledge base and skill set, so we have people who have a lot of experience in all aspects of what it takes to teach real world FIRST skills to the students on our team.
Good luck to all! |
