OMG.....

ya'll are all silly about this whole boyfriend girlfriend thing!! I mean why is everyone putting such an importance on finding that special guy and making sure that you stay together. I've been chasing after the same guy for the past four years and everytime we are together (he lives in PA) it's an awesome time, but when we sit and talk serious for a few minutes he comes to the conclusion that he can't get into a long distance relationship ( a five hour drive which i have driven and it wasn't that bad). So, I've given up pretty much on the whole relationship thing and I've accepted that as fine. You have so many other things to do rather then be tied down in high school or even in college. Think about where your going to be in two three years. Are you going to college close to the person that your hoping your going to be with.......nine times outta ten your not. Be young and have a good time and live life, don't let it be ruled by thinking you have to belong to someone else to be someone.

I'm an interesting personality and it's important to find someone who handles me in a way that helps me grow. Guys are at hand, and settling for less is not an option. I'm keeping my eyes open and searching for someone who can make me happy.I can have fun, but i prefer to have friends rather than a bunch of guys all over me. It means alot to me.

Not that I have much room to talk, but it seems to me that sometimes it's better to have very good friends with whom you can talk, than a significant other with whom you might be more prone to fight with...

or the best of all - a significant other that is your best friend

well, to me that's the one that sounds most logical <tad sarcastic?

I have alot of male friends that I confide in, but there are a few that I keep at a long range. There are some guys that try to get all up in a white girls grill and I ain't down with that. I'm looking for the typical nerd and that is pretty hard to find in an inner city school, where the Asian people out number the white people. I'm just saying that you are all young and why is everyone in a rush to grow up. I seriously went to the toy store today and it was amazing to find that there are still toys out that I played with. It was a great memory, why are so many people trying to be older. I have 18 weeks left of my senior year and I'm without someone attached to my hip wondering why I didn't call, or checking my cell phone to see who called me. Why are people so worried about this......I mean seriously your probably already classified as a nerd, just go with it!!

I may not have a significant others despite what people say. But the other person, well, in a way she is my best friend, the best I've ever had. We never really argue as we hardly see one another (like maybe out of two years this march, um, counting.....8 times for a total of like 16 days). So when we tlak, hang out, call and/or write we don't spend the time doing any of that stuff. Its like an understood line...don't cross (we kindly tell one another). We could never be angry with one another...we just try to make the most of whatever time we have together even if its just sitting there holding hands (yeah, we do that sometimes).

I hear that.........I love to sit there and cuddle and hug, but sometimes that sends the wrong way.

MRL180YTL2002 16-01-2003 22:51

That's what e and my friend do sometimes which is why people say we're going out!

Question for all you guys.......

My question for all of you guys is this:

Is it as hard to find a nerdy girl as it is for me to find a nerdy boy to be at my side?!? I mean, I can't find a guy that is willing to not see me for days in and days out all because I live at the school during what free time I have. I work two jobs (trying to save money for school!!), I got to school at least 5 hours a day, plus homework, and then robotics stuff whenever I'm not working. Do you guys demand that you see your chicks at least an x amount of time a week? Am I being a bad girl (nothing meant by that please don't take it the wrong way) by trying to look at the future and what will let me advance myself in a male dominate workforce?!? Guys please let me know your thoughts about this, I'm kinda curious as to what ya'll have to say?

Actually, I don't think I have any nerd-girls at my school (which totally blows)...I don't expect to spend every dying moment with my girl (when I get one), but I like to spend as much time as possible, without intervining (sp?). Your way of running your life is great in my opinion....looking for what future you can grab, and set forward to it...keep it up

I think that sometime together is always good in a relationship, but the only thing though is I don't have enough time in the day. I mean the time that I do get to spend with that certain someone he complains the whole time we are together rather then appreciating the time and being thankful for that. I was trying to see what you guys were thinking about the subject. I'm not sure I agree with that, but I don't think that this certain someone will stick around (he's a non first person), need I say more. I was trying to see if I could cut him some slack about the issue, but I guess from what I am hearing no!!

Firewolf 17-01-2003 15:17

i thought this was a pick up line thread...

y is everyone giving relationships a bad rep?
i mean, I'm not in one or whatever,
but it's not in every relationship you have to have
the person in your face 24/7
you can have a relationship in other way,
the only reason that could be denoted is b/c
this is all HS kids,
hormones, brain chemicals and the amygdala(emotion part of brain),
relationships rn't all leech-like

rwaliany 17-01-2003 15:56
