This thread would be sort of sad, if it wasn't so amusing and funny.
It makes me want to take the lamest pickup line that I can find here and try it out on a guy at a regional. :D |

::backs away slowly:: Im scared... And yes, it has and IS quite amusing...It's funny how you only realize how...uhh...[insert word that kinda sums up this whole thing...]...until you step back and look at it as a whole. lol ::shrugs:: (and btw, you all have no idea what I get from some people in school when they find what I've posted here, lol) ah well, whatever! I'll go back to my animation corner now...lol and HEY! Where's some more lame pickup lines?? I needa laugh! |

Seriously tho, I think ppl use "pick-up" lines just as some way to start a conversation. It's kinda wierd to just go up to a girl (or guy) and just start talking....you need to have something to say first. I usually try to say something witty....but it usually just ends up sounding dumb....ah well....I'm doomed to be single. |

X's and O's are good but is X kisses and O hugs or is it the other way around?
Laughter is a very good sign as long as they're not laughing at you. Being able to generate laughter through wit, humor in comments are apart of some pick up lines like..... "Are you cold?" Girl standing there with goosebumps......but I did let her borrow my jacket and get to go up to the forbidden 9th floor (only girls and YTL Faculty were allowed there)....walked her back to her room (and got my jacket back...only reason why I was allowed to do that!). Later, danced with her at the party but sadly the e-mail address I was given doesn't work. :( |

thats how I've made most of my friends, I ended up going to homecoming with a girl that I had met in line for the VR ride thing at the great lakes after party =) Using 'hello' as your pick up line works... |

hhaha true.. sometimes i think pick-up lines are for laughing purposes... the funny thing is... i usually ask people what grade level are they before i ask him/her for thier name... |
what? you ask their grade? *dramatic gasp* ageist!!! lol j/k
besides, hello does work, but come on, life would be less hilarious if everyone started friendships that way! What horror stories we would miss out on about how "I meant to say [insert normal comment here] but it came out [insert horribly embarassing comment here]." What priceless introductions we would lose! *sigh* besides, we all need a laugh, and these provide good ones. ;) stacia |
I have learned to ask age and grade level after some very odd experiences and close calls. but purpledaisy is right with out pick up lines and and temporary brain spasms where you say the dumbest things that u could possibly say just because you are in complete aw of the person you are talking to there wouldn't be any funny stories and there wouldn't be this thread. so never stop the pick up lines just saying "hello" is always good, so is a laugh
I know this might be a bit off the subject of this thread but what are some stories of things you meant to say to a girl/guy but u said something else |
haha true true
i wonder where did shaking hands go.... i only met someone who did that who is a non-adult.. scary... somehow i meet someone new i suggest the lamest topics to talk about... and after i feel like runnign into a wall for my stupidty. hahaha alas
