Re: girls: what's the lamest pickup line u've got from a guy at robotics comp?
This one guy from another team last year came up to me... it was actually really gross... and asked me if i would help him play with his balls. It was so gross... needless to say some guys on first are just icky.

Re: girls: what's the lamest pickup line u've got from a guy at robotics comp?
I've never been to a FIRST comp. No one has ever tried to "pick me up". Until track regionals last year, nobody had ever told me I was hot (a couple of my guy friends signed my yearbook, but I think they were just trying to be nice). Geez, it hurts when guys talk about "cute" girls. I'm a very shy person and I would have the hardest time trying to start a conversation with a guy, though I did give this dude (that I have a major crush on) a handmade Valentine card (which he loved!!!, I think...). If you have any pointers, PLEASE tell ASAP!!
Sorry so long. |

In addition, I've noticed that guys usually talk ABOUT "cute" girls but they don't talk TO them. Us enginerd girls are far too interesting for them to pass up ;) . Nevertheless, If the guy would prefer the "cute" one, then they are not my type anyway. |

As far as getting pick up lines go...all them are cheesy...i havent really had any at robotics competetions...but in gymnastics class when guys are in there working out with us theyll just act stupid and try to hit on me with stupid cheesy pick up lines that i just laugh histercally at for like 15 seconds then get back to wht i was doing and pretend they hadn't talk to me. lol |
Re: girls: what's the lamest pickup line u've got from a guy at robotics comp?
not to sound really stupid, but are there any good pick up lines out there?
|
Re: girls: what's the lamest pickup line u've got from a guy at robotics comp?
If there are any good pick ups, let me know. i could take any from guys or girls

Re: girls: what's the lamest pickup line u've got from a guy at robotics comp?
my suggestion: skip the pick up line and just talk.
i find pick-up lines a turnoff because it just makes me wonder how much that line was used - not cool. i'm less likely to respond to a "hey girl *insert cheesy line*" then a "hey, i'm from *blank*, is that your robot?" |

Re: girls: what's the lamest pickup line u've got from a guy at robotics comp?

Re: girls: what's the lamest pickup line u've got from a guy at robotics comp?
<psst.. Guys.. learn from these strange collection of words these females speak. When you are able to get inside their heads, you will either A) Learn a lot, and learn how to talk to them and thus lead to a relationship and/or a life long friendship, or.. B) Learn way to much, and end up running away screaming. - Either way, it'll be a learning experience. And if you learn nothing else in FIRST, at least learn how to interact socially. Because, even if you don't go into a Science, Technology, or Engineering career (as is the whole (original) basis if FIRST) when you grow up, you will still need to know how to socially interact.>
 Trust me. |
