I think its sometimes cute and funny when guys try to use there wierd unusual pickup lines to try to get girls. They might be really lame but hey..their trying lol

That happened to everyone on my team.. he actually took the time to type, print, AND cut them up! His name, nickname, team, adresses, and number... *shakes head* pitiful

Haha. Actually. I've got a couple stories. ^^;

I was surfing chiefdelphi (go figure) at VCU competition this year, when a guy (I've forgotten his name by now!) just randomly came and sat with me at our pit. We talked for a little bit, and he invited me to go shoot some pool. XD I didn't think they had pool tables at the Siegel Center.

Heh, and another guy from a pit across from us just came up and poked me in the shoulder. He actually pushed me around and kicked me once or twice during competition. He was a complete jerk though. -shakes head-

Weren't really pickup lines, but sad stories of lame guys. x.x

I don't use pick up lines...Although I've had a lot of girls just ask to take pictures of me at competitions...must be the painted face and blue, red, and yellow hair.

I am stunned on how this thread is 52 pgs long.

But it was pretty funny last year when some of our guys on our team at VCU handed out these certificates with their names and numbers. They said "Congratulations on being one of the hottest girls at a robotics competition ever".

good point, some dudes can really be pricks, but some can be nice so don't get it to your head that every dude that gives u the stupidest line u've ever heard cuz they are loosers, some can be cool with u :cool:

Well about pick up lines that I've use on guys. I was volunteering at the WMR, I took a year off from being on a team, and a bunch of guys from team 66 come up to pit support and they ask, "Who would we talk to if we want to go on the field and dance to this song call "The Time Warp" from the..." and I reply "Rocky Horror Picture Show!" I give them the info, and say, "Now you should be able to, but only under one condition, you have to let me do it with you." We went out between qualifying and finals, and danced to the song. Afterwards I gave my number to the guy who was the one that asked, he was pretty cute, smart, obviously outgoing and everything else. I ended up going out to lunch with the team, and I've been dating the guy for a little while now. ;)

Yeah, so my boy students definately used the sumo suit to pick up girls this year. The worst part? Andy got two phone numbers out of it, Kyle got one or two... Girls, don't give your phone number to guys wearing sumo suits. Never a smart plan...
