TEAM BONDING

our robot is almost compleated and there isnt a lot to do and we have a rather large team. sooooo the people not doing anything (including some mentors) went and played soccer for a while. then the next day the same people went to play football. IT WAS QUALITY TEAM BONDING :D .

Well I guess that's better than some teams idea of team bonding which would be taping a wayward freshman to the wall with duct tape.

I'm surprised that our team (or the core members of our team) has bonded so well. Me being the only girl on the team, and all the boys being those that have teased me in past years, I'm amazed at what 6 weeks in a cold little ship together can do to people. Granted they still tease me, it's all in fun now, and I do the same thing right back to them. We'll see at competition how well our "friendship" will hold up; I'm looking forward to it, and seeing all the other bonded teams too. Good luck, to all of you, and whoever is going to Sacramento, I'll see you there in 2 weeks!

that would be team TAPING not bonding. gotta pull out the epoxy.
otherwise chasing eachother with the robots is a way to let the driver practice and also allows the team to bump intoeachother often. :D

Our team bonds by playing Egyptian Ratscrew (it's a card game) ...
That game usually ensues loud outbursts and slapping eachother's hands... o.0
It's fun. :D

wow, thats awsome. its kinda like thats saying ..... " I CAN FIX ANYTHING , where is the duct tape?" but one thing about the freshmen duct taping them to a wall .... well actually i am kinda wanting to tape our electrontics team lead to the wall (althought he is a senior and i am a junior) BUT he is really annoying .... think of it this way we got free electronics classes at WCTC (a college near us) and he kept trying to teach the professor...... I MEAN COME ON WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT???? i wish i could tape him to the wall....i would LAUGH SO HARD :D

Meh death threats are the way to go when building trust with your team members. Fuled by hatred man... Thats our robot this year. There is nothing more bonding then having the Drive team run you down when your done uploading test programs.

I mean every time drive team runs me over is another reason they should sleep with one eye open. *jokingly*

BeachBots build across the street from a beach (literally... cross street, take the right path, find a gap in the border wall), so we started going to the beach during lunch breaks. The beach trips included volleyball (mentors played or acted as ref). A good time was had by all every time. And of course everyone laughed when someone dove and missed in a funny way. :D

Re: TEAM BONDING

Our team last week friday had a team bonding lock-in typish thing >.> It was very very entertaining.

We first had our original meeting thingy, and then at 10 we packed up and hooked 5 X-boxes together with 5 of the 10 TV's we had altogether hooked up as well. Those people played it feom 10-11, and then midnight to 6.

We also hooked up DDR, hooked two PS2's togther with two TV's, and played party mode with 4 people playing at once. >3 that was awesome! (I was one of the DDR people ^.^)

From the times 11:00 to midnight, we went door to the arcade next to us and played Laser tag. XD, those people didn't know what hit them.

We havn't had time for any bonding as yet, but we might be going somewhere like paintballing (V fun, if expensive), we always have a celebratory dinner at Chillis (a tex mex place, v nice) at the end of hte year. We go bowling accross the road (they built a "leisure cneter" in the last year. Bowling alley, cinema, pizza hut, subway, within 1 minute of school, very profitable for them with 2000 students here...) and have pizza and things. Always good, unless you have a big argument...

We were practicing in the gym, and our batteries were essentially dead.
And we had a basketball, so we shot some hoops for a while. And then we went outside and had a rather small snowball fight.

Bonding = teh r0x0rz.
