underweight (erm we are over the non battery weight limit by 0.6 kilograms with the battery in, so we are probably a couple of kilos under)

We are well underweight, I guess we weigh around 75-80 pounds, we're adding weight today before we ship.

Team 95 is well underweight as well, which isn't usual. We'll probably add balast to stabilize our bot with the arm fully extended.

This is good, since last year we had to lose 7 lbs in the pit to weigh in, and that was a monumental effort.

Surprisingly, we are underweight. My suggestion is adding kittens to the robot. With the addition of a couple of kittens AND their protective cage, we should be about right.

We're at 118 pounds - underweight now, but any modifications we make in the last few hours before crating will probably put us over.

Our robot (team 1302) was about 5 pounds overweight. We're still working on it now but it seems like it will be shipped in time.

We are dead on at 120 by our scale, but are somewhat worried about its accuracy; its just a cheap bathroom scale and could easily be off by as much as 10 pounds, so we're just crossing our fingers.

We are wrapped up and read to ship now though, after a minor scare with the padlocks. Our team member in charge of the crate lockdown was out sick today.

Same with us. We put a 25 pound weight on the scale to check the accuracy, and it would register anywhere from a half pound under to a half pound over. Lets just cross our fingers and hope we are under lol.

Team Rush is about 12 pounds underweight...I think we are making some things out of steel instead of aluminum to help add more ;)

Like Rich said, 95's bot Eddie is about 10ish lbs under, what are you REALLY going to use for ballast? I want to use a rock, just to say we have a rock on our robt ;-)

We are just overweight (its about a half pound). We have a few more places for speed holes, so we'll find a way.

We also have the option to replace the steel 1" dia. shaft in our arm to a hollow tube. It'll lose 4 pounds but is a risky and time consuming operation. (We have a small potentiometer sprocket press-fitted on and it is in a hard place to remove. Not to mention we'll most likely bust it and need a new one.) The robot is in the crate ready to ship. Any suggestions?

We weighed in at 120.00 and then drilled some "speed holes" before sending Daisy off in her crate. That's our first underweight weighin in quite some time...(last year we had to lose about 4.5 lbs an hour over a six hour period to make weight last year at Anapolis, Chesapeke MD. :o ). A satisfying end to a satisfying season.

Not quite done, in the box and shipped, all parts on the spreadsheet come to 111.6, bathroom scale says 119.5 with out a cover, two days to build a cover and we need an additional transmission for our arm. We may be drilling gears in the trailer and removing two cims out of the four. I wasn't joking when team members kept asking what we were going to cover it with and I kept answering plastic wrap. Team 1675 tipped the scales at a massive 143.5 pounds on Sunday at the pre-ship scrimmage up here in Wisconsin. At 1:30am this morning, we are right at 120 with a few more adjustments being made during the day today and/or in the pit in Chicago.

i think we set a new record with amount of weight take off. We at 1403 weighed in at a hefty 168 pounds. Now, around 120 plus or minus less than a pound. We can probably do a commercial.

We are also underweight, i believe when they weighed it it was close to 95............. i am not sure, i know it was in the 90's though. :D

We were never actually overweight. We weighted the robot about a week agao, and we were....116 or 118, with a few things to still add on (lexan, hoses, a few more wires, etc). So we drilled holes in EVERYTHING. The entire underside of the robot, which was previously covered in nice, solid, .25 inch lexan, now looks like it got shot by a tank in about 50 places. We drilled holes in everything that did not need a whole lot of strentgh. We also removed some things and replaced them with lighter ones.

What, was your robot made out of lead?! 168 lbs is enough to do two commercials. Team 1279...team mates at the bridgewater hs post season and i think at annapolis. Watch out this year, our robot doesn't suck no more!

Our bot was at 101 lbs. We'll add some bumpers to bring it to max weight. Traction purposes.

I accidentally weighed our robot with the battery, and we were still way underweight.

It seems like an unusual percentage of teams are underweight htis year. Its a first for us.

Team 1353 according to the most accurate scale available to us which should be accurate to 1/10 of a pound we r right on 120. :yikes:

Team 418's robot weighed in at 119.5 at our mini-meet. We took off a couple of things we couldn't get to work and I weighed them in at about a pound. So I figure we have just enough weight to spare to put on the new lights and still feel comfortable.

For the first time, we too are underweight. We weighed in at 105 this afternoon. Every other year we have been right at the weight limit.

It's the most amazing feeling in the world when you find out that you can replace a fisher price motor and lots of wiring and channel with a simple, lightweight mechanical device that does the same thing.

We were about 4 lbs over, but we took off 4.9 lbs right before it was heaved into the crate, and we have about a pound in wires and limit switches that can be removed at competition teams. My question to all the teams that finished amazingly underweight: what was the difference? What made this year the year that your bots all went on diets? I'm curious as to the source of this phenomenon.

Diet? We kept track of what we weighed from when we had something to weigh to late last night. As weight guy, I did that personally and estimated what was unavailable. Weight estimate on Friday:104.566 pounds. Actual weight: 105. Add more materials until Monday night. Current estimate (unverified): 113.8. I don't think I'm missing much, either.
