It looks pretty cool, and its also a very interesting way to hold the tetras on the robot. We hold ours upside down on our robot too, but we don't have our stack tilted it all. The most we have tried in our basket/cradle/tetra holder thing is 6, but when we do that we make sure to have our arm hold it down so none fall out because we haven't tried it without holding them in yet. Also, how do you put yours in there? Do you use human player or auto?

We can use both human player and auto, but we probably will use the auto loader more.

Leave it to team 33 to try and hold as many field elements a possible (remember last year?!?!!)

Here's a clue: both window motors are hidden in the chassis.

ok, i saw a thread asking for pictures of our robot and followed this link in another reply. however, the robot has changed for anyone who was at the Detroit and West Michigan regionals. since our drive train and arm are so modular, we made some distinct changes. as soon as our webmast uploads all of our pictures to the web site, ill update this thread once again so you can see our robot. or you can try and see us at Nat's.

Holy wow! What an improvement from what I saw of 33 at GLR! This machine was just fantastic at WMR. I was so impressed.

On a side note, thank you so much to 33. You guys went above and beyond the call of GP to help us out this weekend and we really appreciated it. :D

Come on guys, i know pictures are worth a thousand words;however, Videos are better! :D

I was amazed by your robot last year, it had everything, a super drivetrain, a ball holder and a hanging device. It looks like you guys have done it again. This robot looks amazing and very effective.

It did, but due to a few problems with the swerve motors not being powerful enough, the crab drive was swapped for a normal skid steer at the Detroit regional.

Stop by the 33 pits in Atlanta and check out the modular drive display, it's pretty cool. Basically, 4 bolts and 2 wire connections and the whole drive system can be changed.

The picture below is the best picture on the Killer Bees website of the new gripper. I'm posting it here because they're huge on the site, I made it smaller so it'll load faster for all you dial up users. Anyways, this picture is from Detroit, and the gripper has since been changed AGAIN, but it's the same basic design. The only difference is the middle finger is active, allowing it to load from the auto loader without moving the arm at all. There were talks of modifying the middle finger to once again store tetras, but I'm not sure what happened with that.

yeah since Detroit we've done both of those modifications
now the two side prongs of the pitchfork fold in using pnuematics, this really helps because it allows us to pick up tetras from in side the robot, which saves alot of time because we dont have to go back to the loader to get a new tetra every time we cap
