http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/d...powertoys.mspx It is also free, but the good thing is, is that it works as a right click feature from a windows explorer menu. Right click on the image icon, and select resize picture or something like that. Also, another good feature is that you can resize multiple files at a time. Just select all and then right click and resize. |

Bah just open it up it microsoft Paint.
Free, probably already on your pc, and it is easy to use Click Image and then Strech/Skew. Then type in a percentage you want to remove. Click Ok ;) |

Clipart/Simple Graphics : Use GIF format. Complex Clipart, Graphics that share a lot of the same colors: Use PNG format. Photo's : Use JPG (or JPEG). (Although the W3C now recommends all GIF formats be replaced with PNG, simple graphics actually take up less space when using GIF.) |

I'm also a big fan of IrfanView. I use Photoshop to do tricky editing, but I use IrfanView to do everything else. I especially like its ability to quickly make certain changes to lots of files at the same time. It easy, it's uncomplicated, it's FREE. I haven't tried the Microsoft tool, but I wouldn't buy Photoshop just to resize files.
