 It's what I've been waiting for! That looks great Dwarf! I'm going to try to catch some of the action via the web so I'm expecting nothing less than a championship!

Your Friend,
200 Solemn Faces

P.S. Doesn't look like this year is depending on the Wha BAM! technology.

Now just convince all the other participants of this and we are good to go! Thanks, we are hoping that we do this year, we are really confident in this design!

I want to make it back but it's quite the drive from So Cal and plane tickets are not cheap. I'll be keeping up with your accomplishments like I do every year anyhow.
Is the gas spring just to ease the torque needed to lift that huge arm? It sure does look like you have a large enough sprocket to produce the power you need.
Also...I was going to ask...Titanium?!?!? Who came up with that idea? Are you looking to enter 6 into battle bots after the season? You WBI kids are crazy...and I love that about you.
Keep up the great work and tell Flo congrats on the "unsung hero" recognition. Maybe Mrs. Flo should get that too.

Yah thats basicly the purpose of the gas spring, take alot of load off the motor, and helps us hold them out where we want them, i think it has like 250lbs of force or something like that, i dont remmeber, i had nothing to do with the arm, hehe.

Titanium, yeah i dont know whos idea that was, but its a great one:) this robot is as beefy as anything we've ever built, yet one of our lightest robots yet.

Come on mr professional engineer purdue grad, you can afford to come back and see the first annual boilermaker regional in person!
that would be reason 899 why boilermaker regional is going to be amazing, if you showed up:)

This appears to be the best Rowdy Pete yet. Each year, 461 puts out a better robot. That is one killer arm. Love the simple, light tetra gripper. Love the wheels. :)

(spare rollers are being delivered, btw)

Us Boilers are all excited about this Rowdy and I hope that it's in line with the way the game strategies will develop this year. We've done our best to keep it simple while providing a robust and reliable design.

That was something Mike Snow (in background of above picture) and I came up with. Don't get too excited, it is just the thin-wall welded and drawn grade 2 stuff from McMaster.

Speaking of simple designs, it looks like Technokats aren't holding back anything this year. I can't wait to hear a full explanation of that machine. Regardless of what else it does, I would gladly join the alliance of a team that can do that. That's what I call stacking Kokomo-style. Good job Andy, I'm looking forward to seeing that mack daddy at BMR.
