Re: pic: 1474 Final Robot
This isn't the EXACT finished robot. We actually tweaked the manipulator on top to give it a longer hook.
I apologize ahead of time for any kinks you may experience in your neck while trying to view it lol. |
Re: pic: 1474 Final Robot
nice robot. looks pretty tall. how tall does it get? how many tetras can it lift at once?
P.S. i think my neck is stuck :D |
Re: pic: 1474 Final Robot
Over ten feet safely and only one at a time.

Re: pic: 1474 Final Robot
and we thought that scissor designs wouldnt work this season. we thought the lateral forces would bend the scissor sideways and cause the whole lifting platform to tilt. niiice. update me on how it goes!

Re: pic: 1474 Final Robot
Well, in the picture, the lift is extend to just about maximum height. We can drive at this hight with a terta, but we do experience some side to side wobble, however, it is only the top 3 or 4 feet that move. When it does wobble, its not that much, and it rights itself pretty quickly. We plan on driving with the lift extended to about 7 feet, and extending it to around 10 when we need to cap, as it only takes about 1.5 seconds to go from 7 to 10.
